From what I have read the camera on this phone is pretty poor.

I have a note 1 and when i got the lg nexus the camera was a bit of a shock. The phone is really good though.

N4 is good overall phone for the price. What you got to decide is if you can live with the shortcomings of it.

N4
No expandable memory
Not so decent camera
Built in battery

From what I have read the camera on this phone is pretty poor.

for me it depends if you're prepared to flash another ROM which is so easy its ridiculous but touchwiz would drive me mental personally.

I had an S3 and much preferred it to the Nexus 4, can't entirely pin down why but then I did only run it with CM10.1

With the rider that i have had a blackberry for the last x years whilst the wife and daughter got iphones till the n4 i had not had a smart phone

I love my n4 wouldn't swap it for anything. The only area which irritates me is the battery as i would say i am a heavy user. I carry an 8400 anker battery around with me and since i have been doing this the battery life has ceased to be an issue.

Otherwise, speed, flexibility etc i love and the camera i didn't find such an issue. Then again the bb was awful in this respect.

Just quickly does anyone know what phone case would fit the nexus 4 with the official bumper fitted?

Dimensions on play store are the same for the bumper and the phone which is obviously not correct. Using a not very accurate tailors tape measure I've got it at about 143mmx76mmx10mm. I bought a HTC One X Mofi case previously but that's too tight a fit.

Any help greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't do that, really either get a bumper or get a case, not both

How bad is the camera though, lots of reviews say its pretty poor. But surely it can't be that bad.

Coming from an iPhone 4 and htc desire. Both 3 years old at a guess.

To me coming from a HTC One S it is not actually that bad although it may have something to do with me being rubbish at taking pictures . No seriously you have 15 days from purchase to request a refund via google support, so in that time you should be able to judge for yourself.

I brought one of these from the states, a hand made and embroidered super soft pouch for when I am out in the garden or I just fancy a bit more protection than just the bumper, it fits with the bumper on. I know its a bit girly but I liked it

Am thinking about swapping my N4 for note2... Started to use phone more and as much as it can run all day long 6am-7pm with heavy use, sometimes it is not enough( if I won't have time to recharge in the evening before going out again then need to watch battery and not to use phone too much)
Need to look on what options I have...am on giffgaff and not really want to get a new contract - especially o2 doesn't have unlimited internet...

For a shade over 20 pounds i would suggedt you give the Anker battery a try from amazon. 8400 is the one i got will charge an n4 fully 4 times and uses 2amp so quick as well.

Re contract, three is the only one i found with good coverage and similar packages to giff gaff. I went for the monthly 12.90 unlimited internet. I also got 25 back from quidco. I don't get mobile signal at home from anyone except vodaphone but got a three home dignal device for 50 (you have to put a good case) and the house now has a three signal throughout.

Will check this charger.
As for Three...they are carp where I live and even worse where I work. O2 and I think Vodafone are only ones that have reception at work...I do like giffgaff as well

My Ringke Fusion case arrived yesterday. What a fantastic case.

Looks great, feels great, buttons have a nice click to them, protects the entire back, sides, top and bottom. Plus it's cheap. FAR FAR better than my old Belkin Clear View which was twice the price

Not to mention it shows off the nice spotty back
