Been trying to root it all day but no success :/
Probably a good sign that you should stick with stock then....
rp2000
Got it working
Probably over exaggerated when i said all day
Anyway what ROM's would y'all recommend?
Its the Google conference in 2 weeks. Lots of rumours. I expect to see a new nexus 7 and possibly a updated nexus4 or at least a 32gig version. The lack of band variants has hampered sales so you never know.
i dont think you will see a newer or bigger nexus 4, the nexus 5 or whatever the next model is going to be called is now what roughly 6/7 months away from being released. makes no sense to make a new model on a yearly released phone (going by recent release times). especially given that this phone is sold not for a profit, making a new model would severely increase manufacturing costs, therefore the new model would be a lot more expensive given its short run of production before the nexus 5.
16GB for me is more than enough i still have 5GB available with well over 100 apps installed, in fact a lot of those aren't even ones that i use on a regular basis.
if this does get launched, i take it the 8GB will vanish, the 16GB will become the 8GB and the 32GB will be the new 16GB.
if so i'm pretty sure a lot of users will be miffed and you could see a rise in the number of 8GB's and 16GB's hitting auctions sites.
i personally don't see the need for a 32GB or LTE version, especially since LTE is not on every network and especially since 16GB is more than enough imo for a phone. i would personally wait for the nexus 5.
google music, dropbox, box, etc are the future imo, in 5 years time, i bet onboard storage will be non-issue with the amount of cloud storage on offer and LTE becoming mainstream.
