***The Official LOST Season 2 Discussion Thread*** (Spoilers as they air!)

For those stating 7 season's is talking crap cause it all depends on the ratings of the show. The characters have signed a 6-year cotract like every character does in a new show which is standard so the writers can write a story for 6 season's or in other words, the characters don't walk out after two leaving the show in the lurch or start demanding huge wage increase if the show proves a hit.

Look at it this way, if they survive the next season and ratings are still good, then there will be a new season and each season finale will answer questions and produce many more questions. Unless the show's ratings drop and the show is cancelled, thats when you will find all the answers as the show wraps up everything quickly.

There will be 6 seasons unless everything goes pearshaped.

nail on the head. I heard the writters did not want to take it past 4 or 5 but yes eveything depends on money and ratings

It would be nice to think that the writers know all the answers and that the series is a completly plotted story arc but sadly thats not the case. Things get brought up then forgotton about and never mentioned again. The polar Bear, Black Rock, Vacines, the black smoke, the bird, Dave, the horse, mystic healing.
Its like they had all these ideas and thought yeah lets add that before solving one thing and going onto the rest. Sadly thats how things go in the states that a sucessful series can go on and on.

don't get me wrong its still fantastic TV, just gets frustrating.

I couldn't quite be bothered to watch most of season 2, I doubt i'd even bother with 7.

I heard that they are losing viewers anyway.

Jeez, is this rubbish still running? Aren't the writters running out of things to write about?

if you watched it then you would know that 1) yes it still running and 2) They still have a lot of things to potentially write about.

Agreed, they obviously are still working on the scripts for other seasons. But I think for continuity purposes they should have at least included the black smoke and the big thing that rips down trees and has a mechanical roar.

I mean are we expected to believe they can just wonder around the jungle willy nilly and not be scared at all, even though in the first season they saw and heard these things. Heck, they could have even added a black smoke floaty thing in the background of some of the shots just to confirm they are still there.

It'll look really silly just showing them again in a future season now.

Although it's still a good show :D

The one that bugged me the most was the cable on the beach. If I was sayid(sp?) I would have gone back to investigate find out where it went etc.

No one has mentioned 4-toes yet!
What about Kelvin (the guy who 'rescued' Desmond and eventually got his head caved in) being the same bloke who was in Iraq and got Sayid to torture his Captain...

Also Charlie was a bit "matter of fact" about the whole hatch explosion, he said something along the lines of "aren't ekko and locke back yet" he was with them wasen't he? Theories anyone?
