That's speculation. With this type of program the total length remains undetermined, it's all about spinning it out without slowing it down too much - That's straight from J.J Abrams.

How much stalling they can get away with is down to personal preference so if you want massive plot developments in every episode it's probably not for you.

Damn advert breaks. Are C4 going US TV style and having breaks every 2 seconds?

If it goes on for 7 seasons no doubt it will become very dull and no one will watch it or care what happens by then.

A new C4 record :D adverts in under 5 mins before the main programs even started! DAMM wonder how bad E4 is gonna be?

do you still get adverts watching them back on that ntl on demand thing ?
If it's anything like sky plus you could set it away and miss the first 15mins then when there's a break you could fast forward through them.

How long are the eps normally without ads? 45 mins?

I'm watching Lost Season 2 on one of the Sky Digital channels, currently just watched episode 11 last night of season 2 and its around 45-50 minutes an episode with 3 adverts if I remember.

Complicates things cause you look at the clock thinking theirs another 10 minutes or so left but actual it ends in a minutes time due to these very short adverts.

POSS SPOILER

Was it me or when we had a view of the shark underwater it had that logo on from the underground base (hatch)?

And do you reckon they will go for the full 7 seasons? If so, plainly introducing new characters with backstories and little progress of the main story with no conclusion could get old, fast.

You could get 7 season's easily and the way things have gone so far half way through the season with me and without saying anything, it can be done.

The writers could make 7 seasons and 2 years on the beach might not have passed.

Lost is an open book with numerous storys that could be implemented. I can think of many storylines that could be used so its not really a case of, could they make 7 seasons, its a case of, how long do they want the show to last!!

I really didn't like the HUGE "previously clip" it went on forever.

I am so confused  I have no idea what's going on, I'm not the only one, right?
