Still, in the leaked images of a Nokia Lumia 920 seen above, a development device running Windows Phone 8 OS build 10141 is somewhat interesting. Currently, the retail version of Windows Phone 8 that is on the market is 9903. That’s the one found on every new Windows Phone sold and 10141 is quite a jump in that number. We don’t think that’s due to Chinese localization either as that would presumably be just a small bump in versions.
Can anyone point me in the direction of a good WP8 forum preferably where there are plenty of 920 users. Want to see if others are having problems.

Could this be responsible for some of the issues with dead phones overnight?
Does anybody have a weather app that actually updates the tile live? Every one i've used only ever updates when I enter the app.... kinda pointless really!
Everyone check out the market place apps, Nokia list of apps, including Mirrors Edge is listed as free on my phone. Is there some promotion or what?
still not got the returns envelope from p4u.... been 5 days since i requested one.
I want to use the 920 and keep it. but because its locked....
well 920 are selling like hotcakes
I would be interested to see the figures for this.. How can it be number 1 selling handset in a particular country if it is exclusive to only 1 network? It might be the number 1 selling handset on that particular network but I find it hard to believe it can be number 1 full stop, especially given the constrained stock. Happy to be proved wrong though..
One of the hottest Windows Phone 8 devices, Nokia Lumia 920 is a hard-to-come-by device these days.
Those who already own one can consider themselves lucky as many Windows Phone enthusiasts who pre-ordered the Lumia 920 are still waiting for their devices.
Although Nokia decided to sign exclusivity agreements with some of the largest carriers in the most important markets regarding Lumia 920 sales, the phone has yet to meet its demand.
The fact that the Lumia 920 was sold out in many countries and multiple carrier in a matter of a few days, made headlines in the past couple of weeks.
The most recent example is Australian carrier Telstra which sold its entire Lumia 920 pre-order stock in less than a day.
The operator said it was overwhelmed by the high demand, but it also confirms stock has been limited globally by Nokia.
Then there’s AT&T, which has yet to start shipping the Nokia Lumia 920. There have been many complaints from customers who pre-ordered AT&T’s Lumia 920, but did not receive their devices until now.
The US-based carrier continues to take orders for the Windows Phone 8 device and some customers claim they already received theirs. However, we doubt such a large carrier cannot process a high amount of orders if the need arises.
The main issue might be the fact that AT&T’s Lumia 920 is in short supply and the carrier processes orders as soon as the devices are available in stock.
Moreover, there have been many reports that many AT&T stores only had around 20-30 Lumia 920 units, which, obviously, were sold quickly.
The smartphone was sold out in Italy twice, while Clove’s stock of white-themed Lumia 920 was exhausted in a matter of hours.
And such examples can continue with UAE, China and other countries, where the Nokia Lumia 920 sold out several hours after it went live on pre-order.
It remains to be seen if Nokia was totally overwhelmed by the high demand for its Lumia 920 or the Finnish company simply did not want to risk it and shipped only a limited number of units worldwide.
Let us know in the comments what you think about Nokia and Lumia 920’s worldwide availability.
Windows Phones are taking the top spots over at Amazon Wireless on its "top rated cell phones with services plans" list. But a few positions in the top ten aren't enough it seems as a total of seven spots are taken by handsets running Microsoft's mobile operating system.
The Lumia 920 in black is situated at the top with a full five-star rating and the Lumia 900 (same colour) is in second place. Another three Lumia 920s and a Lumia 900 are present further down, as well as a Samsung Focus S. It's good to see not only Windows Phone 8 hardware being rated highly, but mobile phones running Windows Phone 7.x are still beating competition.
We know the Nokia Lumia 920 is a popular handset, but what about the Nokia Lumia 822. According to Walmart’s order page, when you try and order a Nokia Lumia 822 the order will only “Ship when Available”, implying that the retailer is sold out.
The statement continues, saying that “Due to overwhelming demand the nationwide supply of the Nokia Lumia 822 +4G LTE is limited” and that orders “will be reserved and shipped when available.”
Now I am sure there is a big element of short supply, but it is also clear that early demand has exceeded whatever calculations Nokia and everyone else has made.
See the page at Walmart here.
It’s time to get serious about Windows Phone 8 in Deutschland it would seem as the folks at Germany Nokia have made it clear that stores across the country have sold out of the Lumia 920. This report is joined by an on-ground report by a reporter from WMPowersuser in Germany who made a mad dash across his city to find a 920 after a bit of a repair issue. Amazon and mobile device sales website GetGoods also sold out earlier this week in addition to massive amounts of carriers across the country – if not every single one of them Deutsch-wide.
Nokia’s acknowledgement of the issue marks the first time the company has had a sell-out situation in Germany and may be a sign of global interest for the device as well. Judging response to our own coverage of the device, including our full Nokia Lumia 920 review, Nokia may have a winner on their hands after several rather tough fiscal quarters. This could also be a sign of interest growing for Windows Phone 8 – but we’ll stay reserved on that situation until actual sales numbers are announced.
The Nokia Lumia 920 took the Windows Phone 8 launch and ran with it, Microsoft agreeing with Nokia to back the device (and the rest of the Lumia lineup) as the hero line for the mobile operating system. Along with the launch of Windows 8 and Windows RT, Microsoft’s interest it making sure their entire ecosystem thrives presents a unique opportunity for Nokia – and the rest of the manufacturers joining in on the party.
Have a peek at our coverage of the Nokia Lumia 920 in the timeline below and keep tuned to SlashGear’s Microsoft portal as Windows 8′s entire extended environment continues to grow. Let us know if you’re going to be picking up a Nokia Luma 920 – or one of the devices Nokia’s released that are rather similar to it – sooner than later
That's not very UK focused. I too would be interested to see how many 920's are being sold by EE. Did Clove even get many units?
100 isn't really a lot though IMHO.
That's very much USA focused. I'd be pleasantly surprised to see it selling as well over here in the UK.
Well I sincerely hope the figures are rubbish so the rest of us can get in on the action . If it is selling that well in EU and USA then surely Nokia will realise they will have more sales if they let other networks take it and/or start selling it SIM free.
That just says it's selling out, doesn't mention the number of units, the article even says they don't know whether they're sold out because of high demand or lack of devices from Nokia.
That's just top rated phones, the Lumia 920 is 14th on Amazon's Top Sellers list.
Oh, it's selling well, yes .
That's only phones from AT&T though (I know it's only available from them atm), you can't claim it's the #1 selling phone in the US then use a source that has it as the 14th best selling .
The Nokia Lumia 920 has continued to storm up charts. At the time of writing the device now occupy 1st, 2nd and 4th spot on Amazon’s Best Seller list, and earlier today it held position 1,2 and 3.
