I wasn't happy that the standard player didn't allow me to pick some songs and play them, so I wrote my own player. So if anyone want to buy my app for a whole 79 pence, I'll gratefully spend it on wine! And yes there is a free trial, but it's limited to 8 songs in the quick lists. :)

The benefit over the standard player is the Quick List, tap the songs you want to play, it'll play them in a random order, turn OFF the shuffle, then it'll play them in the order you tapped them.

Favourites, an easy to create play list, just tap the songs you like, the list is saved and loaded when you fire up the player.

Most played, you can create a quick list on your most played songs. just tap what you want to play, turn off shuffle to play in the same order.

Podcasts and Audiobooks, what it says on the tin.

Settings are, Stop music on exit, Stop music on low battery (20%), Prevent screen timeout, and a sleep timer.

If you've read this far, I will be expanding it to multiple playlists in a few weeks and putting in any other features anyone wants. And yeah, I'm pretty chuffed how it turned out. :)

Does anybody know if its possible at all to roll back an app update? I applied the Thursday update to Nokia Drive/Here and they have completely reworked the GUI and ruined the app :( its gone from looking like an iGO rip off to a rip off of the rubbish ones you got 5 years ago that died out as their GUI's sucked :(

ask Nokia, microsoft gave GDR2 update to all OEM's in order to bundle it with firmware/customize it to their phones, HTC and samsung finished with their customization and released GDR2 through windowsphone update

Didn't know that, grr.

Lol. HTC and Samsung don't customise it. They practically just use stock WP. That's why they got it out so quick.

Wow, woke up and had 28 updates to apply! mostly apps, but also a lot of Nokia updates. I was begining to think I was going mad as I kept reading about Nokia updating this and that, but there were never any updates when I checked - is there a way to set when the phone checks for app updates?

Nope :(

Nokia wp8 is doing better than I though, although the global is only about 4% Europe is far higher, France leading the way with 9% marketshare and uk with 8.6%, looks like q3 will be a good qaurter and break 19% in some key European markets. Now they just need to do better globally and especially America. Not that they've done poorly in America, but nothing like the gain they've seen in Europe.

I wish you would stop selectively cherry picking facts..

Im not anti WP8, in fact I really like my 920 and will order a 1020 when they come out, but even as a fanboi, the picture is not all rosy, Yes share has gone up in the UK and France, but it has also declined in previously a strong Italian market and Germany and Spain have seen market share drop as well leading to an EU average of 5.9%
Nokia just aren't selling enough phones at the moment, (which is partly why they are still getting the parachute payments from M$) Im not sure it is entirely their fault, M$ need to be quicker with features and updates.

Hopefully with the cheaper 520, 620 series phones we will finally see market share begining to build to a respectable level as one thing we do agree with is that we both want WP8 to do well
