Erm ... when you reset your phone, how long does it do the spinny cogs for? It's been going for about half an hour. :/

Had to reset my phone as the music library corrupted, eg showed songs that aren't even on the phone and didn't show some songs that were there.

I had the spinny cogs thing for ages,, I think I managed to get it to reset using the buttons (think its cam + vol down + power for 20 secs)
If that doesnt work you should be able to flash it still using nokia care suite

Still bricked, no Nokia Care centre near Southampton. #@4&. :(

Try these;

1. Hold vol down and power/sleep until the cogs disappear. When it switches back on the cogs will continue, leave it to see if it gets anywhere.

Failing that;

2. Press and hold vol down and power/sleep until the phone resets, once the phone vibrates to say it is turning on, let go on power/sleep but continue to hold vol down. You 'should' then get an exclamation mark on the screen. Once that is there, release all buttons and then press (not hold) these buttons in this order; vol up, vol down, power/sleep, vol down. The reset process should start again.

Hope this helps.

I tried all that, could not get it to do the ! at all, not even once. Let the battery drain completely, plugged it into the charger and let itself turn on, left it overnight. Woke up this morning to it still spinny cogs, pretty annoyed a few more random presses of volume down and the power key, then holding the volume down, STILL couldn't get the !, put it down defeated pondering my options, looked down only to see "Welcome to your Windows Phone". :D

It's working. :D

I honestly thought it was bricked. My thoughts are after this traumatic experience that Nokia needs to make it more obvious what the phone is actually doing during the reset process rather that nondescript spinny cogs because 99% of people would have sent it off to be repaired costing Nokia time and money.

I was going to attempt to flash it today with some dodgy Amber update from the internet, but luckily it started working.

I'm now petrified of those spinning gears. :(

Guys any one having random problems with battery life?

recently my battery seems to drain within a few hours even when I am not using it.. I made sure nothing is updating int he background and all updates are set to manual.. made sure wifi turns off when screen goes blank etc...

Cant figure out whats causing it... as an example..

This morning took it off charge @ 100%
Read facebook for 15 mins
checked sky sports news app 5mins
checked paper boy app 5mins

So far this morning that all I have done but now battery is sitting at 70% which for that amount of light use seems rubbish. it continues to drain even if I do not use it and will usually be down to 20 ish % by around 5pm. only way to remedy it seems to be turn it off and on again and the drain seems to stop.

I say its random as some days I can do the above and listen to music on the train for say 40 mins leave my phone on at work and when I leave work my battery percentage is still in the high 80's.

What have they go to sell, any decent patents etc, if they do perhaps Ms should buy them out to strengthen there mobile patents.

Indeed, it'll be one of the big players simply for the patents alone, the rest will get broken up and vanish...

After resetting my phone it lost all the APN and MMS settings and I had to put them in manually.

Can anyone tell me if this is normal, sending a random MMS to myself, it sends it fine, but instead of receiving it, I get a link to the t-mobile website? Is that because it's a 920 picture and a couple of meg?
