** The Official Nvidia GeForce 'Pascal' Thread - for general gossip and discussions **

I'm failing to see how Gigabyte are going to release a stable 2.4ghz card, even with proper cooling, upgraded components and custom bios I can't see how they're going to get an extra 300mhz on the core.

Wouldn't be the first time a card has been announced as a product and never materialised when they realised they were smoking crack when they made the announcement. :)

Looks sexy as fudge BUT no way am I paying £620 for what will be essentially mid range/highend GPU if you take into account there will most likely be a Ti and a Titan they can jog on.
If I hadn't sold my TX's the other week for good money I'd want blood! Luckily I did. Imagine if you bought a new Titan X 2 days ago because up until today the Nvidia site said it was the best/Top card they had then this comes out at £200 cheaper.

id 14 day DSR it and say money back perleaseeeeeeeeezzzzz

:) just needs the 1080 card pic there on the right of is arse then that would be perfect ...

sry too lazy to do myself too busy lubing myself up !

These cards are very well priced in my eyes, personally i won't be tempted to pick one up but i think considering some of the current 980ti's are £550+ i think anyone upgrading from a 7xx series card is going to be very happy.

Something i have yet to see anyone touch on is how much more powerful the 1080 is in VR than say a 980ti/TitanX

i would'nt call Nvidia villains, sad truth is that they can charge premium prices because of AMDs continued failure to compete at the top table.

Until AMD get their act together, Nvidia will continue to do what any other overly dominant company does and charge a premium for their products

I so love how you put the blame on AMD for this. LOL :p

Maybe you should also put some of that blame on yourselves for shelling out for them at the ridiculous prices they gouge. They have your ego by the ******** and they won't let go. Surely that is not AMDs fault.

If no-one bought one then they would drop the prices very quickly. Easy really, but hard to get anyone to do it, unfortunately. You reap what you sow, I'm afraid. :(

Excellent articles. Anyone concerned at overclocking results should read it in detail.

It will definitely take time for people to learn what the best settings are for the 1080. ts a whole new technology, tweaking Overclock values at different voltage levels.
I feel like this article/info is going to be quickly buried and ignored...

Very well priced? Are you insane?

Just because SOME 980Ti's are currently priced at £550 doesn't alter the fact that the 1080FE is massively overpriced. The 980Ti is EOL and will soon have to have a price cut to shift stock, so the current pricing is a total irrelevance. The 1080 is replacing the 980Ti as the current high end GPU but at an additional ~£100.

Yes, the 1080Ti will come along in 6-12 months and replace the 1080, but usually the new high end would come in at the current high end price point and the prices of the lower tier cards adjust accordingly.

Very well priced. :D

There's some clever folk over on overclock.net that always figure things out fairly quickly.

100% load at 39C yeah nothing :D

1700mhz boost???
what was the point of putting it under water to run it at 1700mhz??
i correct myself! that does tell us something, tells us the person who took that screenshot was lame as hell lol
