Running this with PBO and curve optimizer
-Fmax Disabled
-PBO Freq +100Mhz
+0 C0 (-0 in unstable for me)
-10 C5
-25 C1-4 7-15

160W
160A

This is on air NH-D15, and tested with OCCT at 32, 4, 2 and 1 thread to validate stability with zero errors

Next step is to tune the memory but i don't expect to gain much

After 4 weeks of my CPU underperforming, running very hot and nearly thinking I had lost the silicon lottery, the new Asus 3045 BIO update that brings the curve optimiser in. Now I get decent scores with PBO advanced, limits disabled and curve on -30. Runs 20 degrees cooler aswell :D

Yeah cpuz always reads the default tdp and current vcore. So it does give wonky readings if the machine is idle as the cores often park.
At load it's about 1.35v multi and 1.48v single, 160w/80w respectively

My first attempt at overclocking the 5900x - I've been following a guide and somehow been unable to produce a crash with silly offsets

5900x
PBO Limits: EDC: 180, TDC: 150, PPT: 185
Curve: -30 on all except 2 best, which are -20
Boost: +50Mhz
4x8GB @ 3600 C16

Single: 1618
Multi: 22541

I'm unsure where to go from here. I didn't have time to test with cinebench each time, but with CPU-Z, I lost multicore pretty quickly when adding boost but didn't really gain any single.

First go with an AMD Ryzen CPU. Not sure how it stacks up as I'm completely new to overclocking Ryzen chips and bios settings.

3950x (4150mhz all core) auto volts
PBO +100mhz
Scaler x2
2x 16gb Corsair Vengeance 3600mhz (running 3400mhz as 3600mhz seems to crash system running the 3950x with any amount of overclock)

Multi Core - 24558 pts
Single Core - 1315 pts
