I wonder what the ordinary brainwashed Russian public thinks of the result, if they even get to see it? Surely must acknowledge something about almost all of the world against them and for the Ukraine?

It’s weird having a Eurovision thread and no posts about.

We should stop entering that would show them as we pay for it.

We could send Ed Sheeran and he wouldn’t win.

No one likes us and we don’t care.

Normal service will be resumed next year no doubt

We wait 20 odd years to make a good entry that would have won any other year if it wasn't for a sympathy vote. Typical Britishness.
It’s the perfect result, everyone knows we won but we don’t have to host the thing next year!

The voting is still ridiculous Cyprus/Greece and Croatia/Serbia being prime examples these jury’s all sign impartiality agreements yet every year it is the same!

Apparently if the winning country can’t host it (likely given the conflict in Ukraine) then it falls to one of the “big 5” counties to host.

Given we came second I’d expect there’s actually a good chance Eurovision will be hosted in Britain next year!

Cyprus and Greece giving each other maximum points since I can remember, ~1989 maybe.
I remember Terry Wogan pointing it out that year and it stuck in my head since.

Amazing they get away doing it for 33+ years

Better if they a neighbouring country hosts it like Poland.

Anyway, it was a good result, Ukraine deserved winners, we all know they got a lot of sympathy votes but the song was good, so I think they would have still been near the top regardless. For once it was enjoyable watching the voting. Hopefully the UK will have similar strong performances going forward.

Look, the Eurovision is just a overreaching method of controlling Fiscal policy controlled by illuminati (they were very anti EU) Seems to be a seed change in the inner circle with the UK moving up after a disastrous 20 year spell all thanks to Brexit.

Wow Who would have ever thought Ukraine would win and the arms supplier getting a second place eh......

Predicting a joint win for Sweden & Finland next year, well that's unless they slide into NATO beforehand ;)
