Had an order with Amazon that had an add on item so I had to spend £20. Oh the humanity! :D

So here's a weird thing...

I got a Lego VIP card through the post - it's not one of the special Star Wars ones (which I think it was meant to be, unless this one is just for signing up in the first place and the Star Wars one will come separately?). But anyway what I find weird is that on the back of the card it says "This card belongs to: ______ ______" and it isn't my name?! Were their systems hit so hard by the MF launch that they screwed this up too?

Same here. I already have a VIP card for my account though so I'm not sure what this is for.

All done! That was fantastic. Could have done it in one go, but as it was a gift I did a bag a night but decided to do bags 4 and 5 in one go and get it done.

Where to go from here...

I definitely want to do another one. Maybe not straight away but soon.

I love the look of the Saturn V but it's not in stock at John Lewis (get discount)

Love the fishing store too but not sure if I want to spend that much just yet. Maybe the £100ish falcon, though they do t seem to have that one on their site at all.

My Daughter aged 11 really loves lego.
She has been doing some of the larger Friends & Elves kits, but they are just a bit simple now.

Star wars & vehicles don't interest her.

Any suggestions for what might be a step up for girls of her age?

Perhaps some of the modular buildings might be of interest?

Saturn 5? Or some of the ideas sets?

Depends on price, but the modular buildings are good.

I recommend even though they say age 16 + these sets but she might need a little help but girls love these sets -

Wow that's really impressive!

That model looks quite interesting mainly due to its shape so I bet the build is quite fun to see how it all comes together!

I must admit I wouldn't call myself a big star wars fan but I do like the models. I haven't seen episode 6 yet lol.

We started watching them in time for episode 7.. but the night we went to watch episode 6 my partner went in to Labour. That was like 19 months ago and still have yet to sit down and catch up! We are going to press on now that I built this model :D

Both me and iv really rate bb8.
2 best builds I've had are tyridian shuttle and bb8. Krennic's ship was also awesome (lots of technic)
Oh and I also started with poes x-wing
It was a bad mistake

Gf has wall e

Poes x-wing
Kylo rens shuttle
Standard millenium falcon
Tyridian shuttle
Krennic's ship
Saturn V
Tie interceptor

UCS tie fighter
UCS snowspeeder
UCS millenium falcon

Next I want ucs imperial shuttle (lepin)

Nice collection, hopefully I can grab a UCS millennium falcon next year when they are more readily available.

Can really recommend the BB8 - interesting build techniques and enjoyable build all round really.

So, what shelving units/display cabinets do people recommend?
Got a few models.
Tumbler, R2-D2, UCS Imperial Shuttle, UCS X-Wing, UCS Tie Fighter, The new UCS falcon too (although putting a unit to take all that plus falcon will be hard!)
Also got a few of the smaller ones id like to display, Ecto 1, Wall-E....

These are really good and will take all of those apart from maybe the falcon..

Can sadly say, anyone looking to order lepin sets on Ali Express to avoid Bricklink Store at all costs. I'm currently battling with a very awkward and none communicating store owner after waiting 16 days for a product to ship. Seller blamed national holiday and that was the last I heard from him. Now requested cancel, but now he wont process this either. Hopefully I get my money back - not all good on that site it seems, never had issue before. Trying to obtain an imperial shuttle as I don't have one, and at £72 I most certainly want my money back now he has failed to send it.

Get in contact with AliExpress themselves, they're like the paypal of ebay and will sort most issues out I believe.
