***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

Get in contact with AliExpress themselves, they're like the paypal of ebay and will sort most issues out I believe.

That is what I'm currently doing, seller has been given a pretty stern email which I was copied into requesting response - and quite right as well. He hasn't responded to much of what I've sent. Ali Express staff are really friendly.

Had some bits missing from Falcon, walked into Lego store and the dug through their bits box for what I needed, no charge.

Noice.

I had a few bits missing as well... a dark grey 2x1 kind of handle thingy... a blue-grey 5x1 piece and one of those smooth blue-grey 2x1s with the bevelled edges and sort of little bit of detailing on the top side... Luckily none of them really crucial to the build!

Despite having unbuilt models I kinda wanna buy something to take advantage of the 2x VIP points. Thinking BB8, Kylo's Tie Fighter or the F40 but non of them really click with me!

Maybe there's some other model I'm over looking that I could pick up instead? :)

Guy on Ali Express sent me a pic of my parcel, yet still not got tracking number, I said will it be today otherwise I'll still want to cancel and request refund from Ali express he said I will try. Hmmm not even sure what to make of this, order automatically cancels in 4 days anyhow, even if he doesn't send or accept my cancel request.

Not all sellers on that site are decent it seems.

Partner works at Waitrose so gets 25% at JL ;) I don't think I would have gone for it otherwise but it seemed a good saving :D
Im hoping lego will get some instock online soon so i can use my £40 of VIP points!
Although was tempted to get it from John Lewis earlier today. But I already put the falcon on my credit card, putting the saturn V on there too in the same month would just be......crazy!

.. nothing wrong with crazy.. ;)

So the Lego VIP thing, is that tied to purchases made direct from them or do you get points and register them regardless of where you buy?

Only purchases direct from Lego online or Lego stores. Its only really useful for the exclusives as a lot of stuff is cheaper elsewhere.

e.g. Death Star would have earned £20 in VIP points, but I got it from Smyths for £320. :D

Double VIP points runs approx. twice a year, sometimes, individual sets have double/triple VIP points. You have to be aware and make it work for you.
