*** The Official OS X Mountain Lion 10.8 Thread ***

I'm still trying to download it, going slowly now for me (I know why).

Can't wait to move to Sky Fibre from next year! Getting fed up of Virgin's stupid traffic shaping policies.

In the process of backing everything up as I'm planning on doing a clean wipe.

Seems to be a bit of a bug with notification centre, the text and toggle switch to show notifications at the top disappears when opening notification centre for me (it is visible for a split second).
Only other problem I've had is finder crashing once, hasn't happened since.
This is with a fresh install before anyone asks :) Genuine Mac dev centre download, not the pirated torrent which seems to be ok to discuss on here
As always, kept my 'production' lion install separate.

Installed without a problem.

Not much different cosmetically apart from the frankly annoying loading address bar in safari.

I find Safari much better.

Surely I'm not alone with the drive by race car loading bar. :p

I want to make a USB install stick but the sharesupport folder isn't present in the contents folder of package. No way to obtain the installesd.dmg file.

It already is the InstallESD.dmg

I'm looking forward to seeing the iCloud Safari Tab syncing in action :)

I have stuck tabs. :(

Tried to restore the actual mounted file and it says the resource is already in use. The installesd file was in the share supportfolder when you showed package contents on lion and just assumed this would be the same.

When is the iCloud tab syncing going live?

Mount the downloaded image, then format a USB stick with 1 HFS partition and drag the Mac OS X Install ESD volume as the source, and the USB HFS partition as the desitnation, then restore. Works a treat.

Am i just being thick because this happens when doing that.

EDIT - This is what was happening earlier when trying so that was why i was looking at the package contents like you would with Lion.

Sorted it. Had to unmount the Partition on the USB drive. DUH! Of course.

Pretty sure i was restoring to the Sandisk and not the partition before. It's working now though and doing it's business!

Safari seems snappier.
