The Official PES7/2008 News thread ;)

I have been scanning the web for PES7 news. So far all I can find is this http://play.tm/story/10536 which is definately interesting, but I guess the proof will be in the pudding.

Anyone else got any PES7 news on either 360, PS3 or PSP?

I'm in a dilemma whether to get it for the PS3 or 360 :(

Lag free on the PS3 but my friends will have the 360 version, gah! I don't like waiting for reviews, love the game too much!

I wish they'd release demos before Oct 10th but they won't.

Dualshock was made for Pro Ev. Got to be PS3.

Yes, I know it's called sixaxis now...
I have to agree... it's the reason I bought a PS style controller for the PC too as I had gotten rid of my PS2 when PES6 came out.

As in how ? games going to be much better just look at features i put above. :)

PES6 for 360 had loads of features taken out that were in the PS2 and PC versions, including increadibly basic ones such as the ability to fully edit teams and saving replays.

Ye i know just that i included it in my post above yours so i was just wondering what part you meant.

All editing etc will be in much better then before also allowing you to use Webcam now to scan faces in etc. :)

With Pro Evo 6's semi-exclusivity period on the Xbox 360 running down, we're beginning to hear rumblings concerning number 7's long-awaited move to the PlayStation 3. An alleged insider has also been dropping a few hints about the game on a Korean games forum, purporting to reveal that the title will be 'three times' better on the PS3 console than on the Xbox 360.

Not only does the insider suggest the difference between Pro Evolution Soccer 7 on the Xbox 360 and the PS3 will be highly noticeable, he also explains that the enhancements are in the main made possible by the higher capacity of the Blu-Ray disc drive. He explains that the game uses 18GB of disc space (Xbox 360 DVDs offer a maximum capacity of 7GB), suggesting that the new title will be all the richer for the extra data lavished upon it.

60fps visuals are also mooted for the PS3 version, which the insider suggests outstrips the Xbox 360 edition, the predecessor of which has been the only next-gen example of Konami's football series for several months as part of a deal between the publisher and Microsoft. Of course, these dramatic claims and the insider knowledge implied could all be utter nonsense, though we are keen to see how the next title in the series fairs. Hopefully Konami will release some official details soon, then.

That's probably made up my mind then

It could all be BS though as nothing has been confirmed, will have to wait for the reviews.

Might have to sell my 360 then, the PS3 looks to be the better beast in the long run anyway.

I wouldnt yet the 3 times better is nothing but rumours at moment. :)

Although at Leipzig this week we shall see what difference is between versions and is PS3 getting any exclusives.

Sounds like BS to me tbh, although the disk capacity keeps raising it's ugly head lately so if there is any truth in it then it will be not good news for 360 owners :-/

Although with each mention of disc space, there seems to be a backtrack, it does seem to be cropping up with alarming regularity. I'm pretty sure that there's something to it, purely because of the number of times it's been brought up by developers recently.
