*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

Call me a wimp, but I can only manage outlast in half hour stints. Don't think I've ever jumped so much because of a game
I can only manage half hour stints too, because I'm finding it really tedious, haven't jumped once to be honest. Think it'll be one of those games I don't bother to finish.

I played on pc and felt the same, i burned through it in one session just to get it out the way and for such a short game it drags like hell in the 2nd half. Everything becomes predictable and all the game-ie bits are soo forced just to pad it out more imo

Fear wise it had me with the first jump scare near the start but once the novalty of the atmosphere and camera ware off the game falls short in my opinion

Been doing some surveys recently and they were showing me GTAV, and asking how likely I would be to buy this game. Fair enough....but the survey was on PS4 games, and the box art was for PS4.

Just thought I'd mention that with this mystery annoucnement people were wondering about.

I can't see GTA5 on PS4 being a huge announcement though; everyone's already played it, they're not going to be hugely fussed about it all over again.

I think it would be a huge deal, IF it appeared very quickly. I'm sure there are loads who would eventually play it who did not buy it in the 1st 5 months-ish of release. People waiting for sales, or a DLC combo release etc.

Dunno how well TR sold, but I think whilst there are only a handful of nextgen only titles available in the next few months, people will buy upscaled/re-released whatever last gen titles. Especially something as recent and popular as GTA.

Edit: I haven't played it myself and am too lazy to be switching between PS3 and PS4. If it appeared on PS4 digital store for say £40-45 I'd buy it (with cheap vouchers it would be 30-35).

But everyone's played it already, it isn't going to create much of a fuss. Yes, it'd look great and run smoother and some people might buy it, but it's not really worthy of a huge announcement. It wouldn't really be a true "next-gen" GTA either, it'd just be the last-gen one running at a higher resolution.

I don't think everyone has played it already, that was my point :) I think it's still in the top 10 selling games on 360 and PS3, 5 months on. Games like COD/GTA/FIFA just keep selling and selling for months and months. Plus I imagine things like GTAV + DLC edition, GOTY edition. platinum edition each "spike" sales.

I dunno, but if people are lapping up Tomb Raider (older game, less of a following) then I think even more would buy GTAV (I can't find any recent sales charts so I have no idea if TR on XB1 and PS4 is selling well tbh).

If it was released in the next 2 months, I am convinced it would be the top selling game in the charts for a while. Stick in some "exclusive" missions and people would lap it up.

I would say the fact it sold like a hundred million copies means everyone and their gran has played it.

I wouldn't be interested on a ps4 version until it was sub £20

Why would you even buy it again at all then? Either you have played it before and don't want to play it again or you will pay for a upscaled/improved version. Your only issue seems to be price.

Didn't mean GTAV would necessarily be a big announcement but what is 'big' to consumers tends to be different to the industry!! How many other massive secret announcements have ended up just being something nobody really cared about.

But whether it is or not, it has been suggested to me that GTAV is coming to PS4, and fairly soon.

Not fussed myself as I have no interest at all in anything GTA related as it holds no appeal to me at all - but usually these hyped up announcements reveal something we all knew, or never cared for.

The Titanfall PS4 pics were an interesting addition though, but as I said the person coding the survey prob just copied/pasted the code for the other images out of lazyness

i would buy it for online.

the online completely sucked on ps3, lost my character several times, etc.

there were zero missions to do just tedious repetitive stuff.

they made survival crap as well as making it impossible to make money without cheating/glitching.

the online was turd, hopefully by the time a PS4 version arrives they have fixed online, but then I would only want to pay £20 max to play it online, as i'm not interested in the story mode at all, i've been there, done that and got the t-shirt.

in fact i don't know anyone who hasn't played it, even people who have never gamed in their lives were talking about how much they loved it, i mean even women i know who saw their kids playing it and liked the look of it, peoples 50-60 year old dad's, etc. people who weren't even huge gamers and their consoles had sat there collecting dust for years were talking about it, etc, etc.

i sold my ps3 copy to a female colleague after i bought my ps4, it's amazing the diversity of people which were playing it and talking about it.

Are we allowed to discuss sharing PS4 accounts on here or is that a big no no?

I don't mean lets all swap logins, but say you had a friend who wanted to share logins with his friend, would we be ok to talk about it here??

I haven't played GTA5 yet and I'm a huge fan of the franchise. For me it is the most anticipated next generation game as it will look the dogs ******** and I'll buy it in a heart beat when released on the ps4.
