So just setting up my new PS4.....it appears that the download speeds are as equally poor as the PS3?

Took 25mins to download the 336mb update

I can only think it's down to the Japanese launch or your network?

All my downloads/updates have been fine since Christmas.

I downloaded the same update last night and it didn't take more than 5 minutes.

Its weird as my Xbox One/360 have no issues. I reckon the Titanfall beta at 4.9gb took 15-20 mins....

Think I'll move the PS4 upstairs....cant log into PSN but putting that down to both connection and Japan launch.

Was impressed how quickly Killzone installed mind you

I bet they don't even have any stock and wouldn't sell them at that price even if they had them, it'll be just a cheap publicity stunt. Lets face it with the state of stock atm people would go mad even if they had stock at RRP.

The 1.61 update downloaded in no time at all in fact I didn't even have to start the download I just got a notification that it had downloaded and was ready to install not long after I had turned my PS4 on for the first time.

Got the ps4 as a surprise birthday present so I hadnt researched it properly. Love the games so far but very disappointed that you can't watch films from USB or even stream them from pc. Backwards step in my opinion as I used my ps3 as much for gaming as watching films.

After I moved the PS4 upstairs and connected directly to my router, it was much better.

Downloaded Resogun, Dont Starve, Contrast and Outlast in minutes.

Tried a wee bit of Killzone too
