it's not that difficult, imo it's never been difficult. you just had to be fast or willing to pay for additional stuff, even at launch you could get a hold of one if you were willing to pay extra for it.

obviously if your looking to buy from argos then the best place to ask would be argos.

Did anyone else have problems with Netflix on their PS4 tonight? Wasn't working earlier when I wanted to watch something with dinner and now strangely it is.

Does anyone know how difficult it is to get hold of a PS4 now?

I'm looking at buying one in Argos but I'm not sure how difficult it is to get hold of one?

Do you still have to reserve to get store collection or can you just be lucky and get one straight away in the store?

My wife picked me one up at Argos for my birthday back in Jan. Just the standard one without any games for £349.

So I would have thought it would be easy enough. Like others have said though, reserve it online then you know its going to be there for collection.

So PS4 sold 322,083 consoles in 2 days in Japan, considering they basically have no Japanese focused games and it's not a holiday it did fine.

The only 2 consoles that did better was the PS2 and the Wii and those are both the 2 best selling consoles of all time.

Famitsu home console openings

1998.11.27 [Sega Dreamcast] (¥29.800) - 101.490 (3 days)
2000.03.04 [Sony PlayStation 2] (¥39.800) - 630.552 (2 days)
2001.09.14 [Nintendo GameCube] (¥25.000) - 133.719 (3 days)
2002.02.22 [Microsoft XBox] (¥34.800) - 123.929 (3 days)
2005.12.10 [Microsoft XBox 360] (¥29.000 / ¥39.795) - 62.135 (2 days)
2006.11.11 [Sony PlayStation 3] (¥49.980 / ¥59.980) - 88.443 (2 days)
2006.12.02 [Nintendo Wii] (¥25.000) - 371.936 (2 days)
2012.12.08 [Nintendo Wii U] (¥26.250 / ¥31.500) - 308.570 (2 days)

Yet when Wii U was released you branded it a flop with it's sales....

impressive sales for Japan , didn't think it'd sell too well over there considering they mostly favour mobile gaming nowadays ...

will be interested to see total overall sales considering 8th Feb reported 5.3 million before Japan release.. must be pushing upwards towards 6 million ish soon. very impressive.

Only 322k PS4s sold in Japan over two days? In Sony's "home territory"? Price drop by the end of the week :p

How good are the Astros? Would I lose anything by going for the A40s over A50s? Dont need wireless for my setup. Would like to have maybe gone for HD558s+good mic+mixamp but not sure how much better that would be...

Anyone using them for the PS4?

I use my A40's on my PS4 and they are as good as they were on my 360.

If you aren't bothered about wireless, then it might be worth saving yourself the extra £50 and get the A40's.

The A40s are currently £169 at Gamestop for the full system (MixAMP included), if you're wanting the A40s with the Amp and not just wanting to use it with some Sennheiser PC360s or something then it's quite a steal.

Ive always considered wired is better than wireless for sound so I think its an advantage personally. Would you mind just confirming how you have them setup to the PS4 as nothing Ive found on Astros website gives specific instructions...

How do you like them? I think Im after good positional sound with decent sound quality. I presume the A40s are closed and the mic has to be better than the bundled crap we get...

Yeah that what made me make the post, considering how expensive the Mixamp is on its own (I get the impression its the best at what it does) I thought I might just get the A40s and if I dont appreciate the sound from them I havent spent that much more than just getting the Mixamp.

For gaming the A40s seem to be more than adequate, Im used to using normal headphones though (coming from HD595s). Right now though I really want a good headset

I do like Kre* setup, just a lot of money to throw at it and Id probably go for headphones+mic...

Optical out to Mixamp, then the USB cable from the Mixamp to the USB port, and finally connect the headset to the Mixamp.

I love them, they are so good for directional audio cues on CoD, easy to pick out where people are, the voice pick up is good too, you don't need to shout just talk at a normal volume.
