Just trying to checkout a PS5 from Game - they are asking for the full purchase price - is this correct ??

I've added one to my game basket now I'm in a 30 min queue to log in (it started at 24 mins about 30 mins ago). I suspect it'll be gone by the time I manage log in.
I really regret not preordering when they first went live. I was too caught up in the 3080 hype.

I ordered via Game, just checked out as a guest so didnt have to wait. Got one with the controller as a bundle.

Managed to order one from Amazon this morning - I think I was lucky with the time I got it aaround 8:18am.
Kept removing it from my basket, but being persistent after around 10 goes I finally managed to get to the payment screen and get my pre-order through.

Same. Got one with Amazon and Smyths now. Prefer Smyths as I can go pick up in person so will cancel Amazon provided nothing comes up on Smyths with errors etc.

As suspected, got to the end of the queue at game and the site is down.
I managed to do the same. Checkout via Guest is the way to go, no queue! ...got the console only option too

Yup. It just takes a while. If the screen physically changes after clicking the bottom button after entering billing details its gone through you just need to keep refreshing - your confirmation email will come through after about 5 minutes.

It's almost like Game are doing this 'maintenance' tactically in order for people to see it, give up and stop DOS'ing the site. After a while when they see traffic slowing down they pop the site back up until it starts grinding again.
