Speaking of sound I think might buy the new pulse 3d headset to go with my PS5 as I have the old PS3/PS4 Sony wireless stereo Playstation headset and it's pretty good.

Like the looks of the new one! Weird that it uses a USB dongle though. You think they'd make it Bluetooth?

BT doesn't have the bandwidth/latency required for proper wireless sound + voice, same as this gen.

Bad news for Nvidia if these new consoles can do native 4k on every game why spend over a thousand pounds on a graphics card plus you can trade in your console games once you have completed them and get most of your money back.

Did you miss the locked 30fps part?

I also don't use the speaker but I imagine that some kids love it. The battery life can be fixed for a few dollars here: https://www.adafruit.com/product/2011

The light bar also just wastes power unnecessarily, should have an option to turn it off. Next time I have mine in bits I'll see if I can unplug it actually.
Some games I've played do use the speaker. Not many but some do.
I'm sure the light bar won't use much power at all.

Also can't you dim the brightness on the light bar in the console settings?

I kinda hope sony move away from third person "interactive cinematic experiences". I'm tired of the Uncharted/TLOU formula.

You might be tired of 3rd person games. But the fact is people love playing them and it's not just Sony that make them.

This is why I specifically said UC/TLOU formula. I enjoyed HZD, Days Gone is passable, not played GoW etc.
Every uncharted feels the same. Walk about, do some jumping, things break and you do a QTE. Then you come across an open area with crates and know some tedious combat is coming up. If UC focused more on the puzzle element Id enjoy it a lot more I think.

Yeah, there are quite a few games that use it (The Division used it rather well). I have it turned off as I can't hear it with my headset on anyway. I've also got the brightness turned down on the light bar but obviously every little helps :)

Totally this, I'm always amazed how people bang on about how great the series is.

I played a couple hours of uncharted 4, it did not grab me the way other PS4 exclusives like HZD, God of War etc did. Will give it another go, but apart from very nice graphics, it seems a little bland to me. HZD is infinitely better imo.

That's the only thing that kept me going, the beautiful artwork. Overall, it is the worst of the 5 Uncharted games I've played. Well, maybe second-worst. I don't think 3 was that good either.
Yea, I guess it appeals more to the casual gamer like one of my mates who said it was awesome, but he is super casual and really does not know what’s what :p:D

I had the same feeling with Uncharted 4, it was pretty to look at but that was about it.
I enjoyed the first 2 Uncharted games but then it got a bit boring after going two of the games.

I'm not a fan of The Last of Us either, I really struggled to get on with the gameplay... as I was playing through the first few hours I kept feeling like it would have made a much better movie than a game. I gave up after a while because I just couldn't enjoy it.
