Intrigued by what Druckmann said about the new TLOU2 MP game having a story. What does that mean? Open world with NPC’s and co-op? The art shown looks like it could be San Francisco. Can’t wait to find out what that’s all about.

TLOU is an example of a game I really enjoyed but would only ever play once. Some games are like that for me, I'm unable to pin point why.

Heavily story based. Like books I usually have to leave it years between reading/watching and even then you quickly remember once you get into it.

The GFX on the remake seem good in places but seem to be lacking environmentally in others. Not sure what it is but it doesn't look next gen in a lot of ways.

The graphics are a lot better, not to mention the cutscenes were mostly pre-rendered in the original vs real time now.
That's like a picture my mum takes (all fuzzy and out of focus  ). It's funny as I only played the remaster, and I remember it looking pretty good.

I often find that about remakes - but then TLOU was a PS3 title, and environmental detail has come on in leaps and bounds in most games; I know this re-remake is supposedly 'built from the ground up', but the cynic in me expects that character models will get an overhaul, along with textures, and the environment might get a bit of extra vegetation or rubble.

That’s because it’s technically not next gen. As it’ll be based on the last of us 2’s engine.

£70 for TLOU remake? Sony really do take the wee out of its player base.
Holy ****, this is going to be a wait to buy game for me then, even at £53 @antijoke posted, that's too expensive imo. Much as I love TLOU, I'm not paying those prices - I managed to get GT7 and Horizon 2 for £40 each; which is still a bit much imo, but not too far after release and much better than the daft prices on the Store.

I bought the remaster of TLOU but never got around to playing it..... if they do the remake with a bundle alongside TLOU 2 I will buy that and finally play again but knowing there is a better version out I won't ever touch the remaster :D

Probably be a Division clone as part of the live service push so will be geared towards generating income via mtx and the like.

3 Different editions as well, with the usual skins that cost nothing to make, and "early unlock" rubbish

One of the comments over at Eurogamer sums it up

Linear ones yes deffo. Something like The Witcher which has many different options though is a different thing to me.

Yeah I don’t mind that at all if it goes that way. Even though I solo them I quite like games like that. In a TLOU world it could be quite cool with clicker nests and camps to take out.
