^ Is there a phone which hasn't been rooted quickly? 
I remember reading something about it being 1.5x max the faster than the 540 (which is still quite a bit faster than Adreno 205 but you'll only see the boost in newer games, e.g. ones based on the new Unreal 3 port or emulation like quake etc)
It looks like a solid gpu but nothing to get exited about (like Adreno 220/SGX543mp/T604)

Yeah, Pretty much any SE phone
Well its on the samsung site Click here Strange why they removed the HDMI was it to keep the unit thin?

Brilliant news that they are using the same dot matrix system as on LCD screens, small text is annoying to read on current SAMOLED screens due to that.
I love everything about this phone except maybe the Samsung software, but that can easily be lived with and it seems to be a lot better than it was.
I'm sure it will get good XDA support too, even though it may not be immediate.
I will definitely be getting one of these as soon as possible, and I'll pay whatever is required. Release it already!!

Nice specs and all apart from the looks as usual, but since Samsung handle the software side of things for this, no thanks, where as if it where google/stock android, then I would consider it.
Rubbish support/update procedure, won't get more than 1 android update guaranteed, just like the GS and all their other mobiles and they also have the worst drivers ever.
For me, it's going to be HTC or the atrix
Yeah, buy a Motorola instead, who by the way make Samsung look like saints. The Milestone STILL hasn't been updated to Android 2.2 despite repeated promises to the contrary, has recieved every prior update months late... and they also have a policy of hard locking EU phones. But yeah, feel free to go ahead and buy one bgased on your own reasoning...
Fact is Samsung are not saints but neither are they real sinners, and their phones are slim, have good cameras, and awesome screens.

I find it crazy that I recently bought my nexus S and these dual core phones with more ram come out. Yeah 2 year contracts suck!
Sell it and pay off the contract, it shouldn't cost too much unless you are on a bad one.
Or sell the handset, keep the contract and buy the SGS2 for a bit more outlay

I have thought about it but decided that I will probably have to go over my intended budget to sell my phone and then get galaxy s2. just can't afford to keep up with technology! I like my nexus s and I think it was a great deal. I sometimes forget this is an enthusiast forum

Sums it up really the phones forum is like the Graphics Card one now people upgrading phones when they don't really need too.
If I had the money some have on these forums though I would do the same but the money you lose selling phones is daft unless its a Iphone then they seem to keep there prices well.
My only goal ever since starting in smartphones was a phone that does at least 720p recording that's smooth in fps and metering (like the SGS), has an AMOLED screen and is big (like the SGS).
Everything else was a bonus really
I'll jump aboard whatever the XDA forum specialises in and I do hope it's the SGS2 as that's what I like having seen all the phones released at MWC now!

For me they are getting too big now the screens, had the DHD but found it too big in the hand the SGS wasn't too bad but for me I find the Iphone 4 screen perfect size(have small hands) and the high resolution screen is sweet.
And as you said with the SGS having good 720p that is smooth video which this is the same and having touch auto focus is a bonus for it and a good camera, I seen lots of the 1080p recordings on these new ones and I can't see I am overly impressed so far.
