Hopefully HTC will show their offerings tomorrow at the London event then I'll decide either a HTC or this monster of a phone! Hope this Samsung doesn't come with a locked bootloader. I'll miss the notification light though having come from a Blackberry to a DHD with lights as well.
Now that the Sensation is official although I love the Sense UI I think the Sammy will be a far better phone! But damn both are sexy phones!
Tough decision! Lower resolution vs Higher resolution, plastic vs aluminium, TouchWiz vs Sense, No notification light vs notification light!
Sammy excels in battery, USB OTG, better ram, better on board storage, thinner, weighs less, better front facing camera, perhaps better audio.
HTC excels with a higher res, 2 LED for flash, better build, instant capture! Although weighs heavier I have a feeling it will feel better in the hand, love my DHD's weight feels sturdy!
Price.... £499.99 for a 16GB on board phone is well, HTC who knows yet!
Decisions!!
Mostly depends where Andriod is in 2 yrs. Will your hardware be able to run it. But the 8MP camera and expandable storage should mean you'll be able to do most things phones in 2 yrs will be doing.
Windows Mobile devices were always underpowered. When the hardware finally caught up MS released the locked down Windows Phone
I had a go on the S 2 at the gadget show yesterday and was highly impressed, especially at how light it felt. I have a dhd myself.
