****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

I appreciate that you mean a software solution but these work fine if sw isn't available

eb item No 280879763037, I just bought a couple similar.

Yeah but I don't see why I should spend £13 on a charger because of ice cream sandwich when it was perfectly fine on gingerbread. I've seen a big thread on XDA about this problem with various solutions. Someone says he cured the problem buying a £35 Car Cigarette Socket USB Adapter/Charger 700mA.

Someone else said "I work a at a service center in Norway. I'm on the Samsung theme and I usually fix 3-4 of these problems a day.
The problem is the micro usb plug on you're phone. There may be a tiny bit of corrosion causing a short. Tinfoil from a pack of gum.
Some even look spotless and the phone still indicates that the voltage is too high and stops charging. The cure for all of them is
the same though. A new usb sub board. This is covered by warranty 99% of the time. As long as its not terribly corroded or severely damaged".

I'd rather go back to gingerbread frankly.

Mine charges ok it usually happen when i turn the ignition off.or it could be the type in car charger am using too many volts 500ma +??. for some sill reason i thought it might due using siyah kernal

Did you do a full wipe? :p

I'm guessing yes, but I only followed the instructions exactly as they were written.

The advantage at least is that I can start a fresh.... Well I'm looking at it as an advantage :p

I took a backup of apps, so I re-downloaded titanium backup but it's not appearing in my apps. Any ideas?

Do you have the Pro version? Make sure you downloaded the original titanium app as well as the pro key.

OK. Titanium is back. But it's complaining about not having root access! :(

Is the phone no longer rooted or do I need to give it access or something?

So what roms are people using at the moment?

I'm on 13/5 of Hydrogenics, but I'm having a few lockups (stock kernel) so I'm thinking of giving something else a try.

Hydrogen-ICS 13/05, stock kernel though. What sort of lockups you get? I use to get one if I went into the music app and scrolled straight away.

same here moved to hidrogenics and when texting if i go from notification in status bar to sms thread and try typing it wont actually type anything in the box so i have to quit the messaging app and get back for it to work.

Wanamlite LP9 is still good for me, I'm on stock rooted CF-Root LP8 kernel though with no other tweaks. Managed 1day and a few hours with about 2hrs 40mins of screen on time. That's with all day yesterday on 3G only and evening/daytime today on WiFi. Streaming stuff, surfing, gaming and so on.

I'd rather stick to am AOKP based rom as they're just so much nicer to use, but the battery just isn't last for me. Im seeing ~10% remaining around 10 hours after unplugging with around 2.5 hours screen on time. Back on checkrom I'd still be at around 65%

With extended battery? - best to add that info?

Yay I have finally been hit with the Android OS bug of life, battery dead over night! -_- No obvious rogue apps in BBS either.

Does anyone have a link handy to the a rooted stock Samsung rom please? I'm on Cyanogen at the moment. Really appreciate any details on how to flash it as well :)
