Good news folks, the SGS3 ROM has been released by SamMobile and with it includes all the new TW stuff and S-Voice etc. Early reports are that S-Voice and things work on S2 running ICS.

Wow, nice perk for the S2 owners it's gona be like having a new phone, I hope developments like this are behind the long wait for ICS to UK Notes.

I got tablet mode working in Hydrogenics, dpi was silly though and everything was too small

Does anyone have a link handy to the a rooted stock Samsung rom please? I'm on Cyanogen at the moment. Really appreciate any details on how to flash it as well

Here are some rooted stock ICS roms pal, I'm using the unbranded one. You just need Odin to flash the PDA image, that's it.

So I just flashed Resurrection Remix ics v1.9[4.0.4] and I absolutely love it. Its so fast, battery life isn't great but meh. Anyway the only problem I have is that I can't restore my contacts from titanium backup

Because I don't think Titanium backs up contacts, this is (should) be done through your gmail account

Strange... I've always restored my contacts from Titanium... and they've always come back... I've gone onto my gmail account and theyre not on there

If you are seriously thinking of that i'd wait till 0.7 looks like more will be sorted.

Been quite happy with my s2 for a while now but I do get constant complaints about echoing and poor audio quality in calls until I turn noise reduction off mid call. I can't see any option to turn this feature off permanently, is there anything i can do other than turning it off every time i make a call?

Never been bothered about upgrading the os but if there is an option in ICS I'd be willing to ditch gingerbread.

Since you want root flash the one above. It's KI3 (Android 2.3.5) with CF-Root Kernel .

I'm currently still running this.

How do I upgrade to the latest official Samsung ICS with root?

No other tweaks. Just stock Wanam (themed) and stock kernel (rooted).
