****The Official Samsung Galaxy S II Thread***

Just updated Apex launcher and it's removed my all my folders. Does it always do that on an update?

thought it had removed mine until I noticed it had changed from a 5x4 grid to a 4x4 grid and my folders had fallen of the screen

Mines still 5x4.

It had kept all other settings, just lost my folders.

I had the same issue... the settings show 5x4 but it isn't actually that. All I did was go into the settings and change it to 6x4 and then back to 5x4 :)

Is there a way to stop apps auto adding to the home screen I'm fed up with the no room on this home screen message touxhwiz gives me even though I'm using apex launcher

So with the swift exit of hydrogenics from the ROM scene, are people sticking with it or transferring asap? I've transferred over to hydra h2o, brilliant Tom IMO, possibly better than hydrogenics.

Giving Omega a try aswell and so far pretty impressed with the battery and performace

Is Apex worth paying for? I've been a fan of Go launcher for a long time but its becoming a bit bloated now and wants to take over everything, been with Apex since trying Omega

Apex is good. Killer feature is overlapping widget grids for finer placement. As well as the stock ICS look. Worth paying for the gestures.

I'm trying out MIUI now, seems to be fantastic! Very clean, no nonsense. It does feel very iPhone-esque without an app drawer. Everyone seems to report fantastic battery life so I'll be seeing whether it lives up to its reputation! There also seems to be a very active community.

Guys, just a quick confidence booster please. My PC is getting a bit ****** at the moment with viruses, tons of programs are getting randomly deleted so I'm going to format once and for all and reinstall windows. I use go contact sync and google calendar sync. Between uninstalling those and reinstalling them on the new windows install, that won't affect/delete my contacts and calendar appointments which are on google, right?

Also, how do I disable the new email sound in the default email app? I've disabled the woman's voice in driving mode, but I still get the little musical sound.

Downloading hydra h2o at the moment, been on wanamlite for a few days but I can't get along with samsung firmware and the constant media scanning draining my battery. 10% in 10 minutes.. srsly?

Well, third time lucky maybe, so I'll try asking again. :p

It will use default notification sound so it will either be in sound settings or email apps settings i dont have it so have no way of finding out

I've got to admit that I love MIUI, I think it's a fantastic ROM and completely original. I did have that + Apex Launcher, winning combination imo, there was just a few things that I didn't like about it, one of them was the image quality of the stock camera app, hopefully they've sort that by now! Every so often I'll go back to it, to give it a try, but it's a shame as I end up loosing all my sms, which is annoying!

Hydra h2o is a good replacement for Hydrogenics. Much more stable :)

Glad to hear it :) I also thought it's just got a much better build feel to it, the stock Kernel is also a lot smoother and comes with a lot better options, like many more Governors and GPU control.

Go into the email app > settings (press menu) > account > choose ringtone > silent.
