Boo hoo I have a very small scuff mark on the back of my white one and I haven't even taken it out of the house yet because I'm waiting on a case to arrive! :(. Looks like you have to be very careful.

First time with an android phone and the battery statistics are slightly confusing, can someone shed some light :P

OK i think i have closed all my apps through the task manager and cleared the memory , does that chart show me how much battery life is left atm, ie if left on this current screen i would have 4hrs odd life?

Are all those % processes needed , or can some of them be turned off? I think i have GPS , notifications and sync turned off, with WIFI and power saving turned and mobile data turned on.

Is there a good sort of manual/description that describes how these battery indicators work, or is there a better app than the standard android app?

Thanks in advance, loving this phone, much bettter upgrade from a nokia express music!

Android has an excellent memory manager, no need to close apps manually, if anything that will drain more battery.

^^ Aha, i see, most useful i see ;) Is it worth installing a task killer app or battery manager or can the phone do a good enough job itself?

Has anyone used ChatOn, can it replace things like whatsapp and facebook chat etc.. whilst still maintaing the same functionality?

Nah, don't bother. There's nothing those apps can do that you can't ;)

Anyone have any ideas when the NFC in the phone will be able to be used for wireless payments like some credit cards have built in?

I suppose the same will apply for Oyster cards which your phone can replace, i've done some googling and it looks like samsung are doing something for the GS3 but only for althletes and organisers in terms on NFC payments and being an oyster card etc, anyone have any ideas when this stuff will be implemented, looks awesome!

The amount of self control it's taking for me not to run to my local store and buy a white version is immense. Gngghhh...

Have a look on Modaco - you can install Google Wallet and use that if you have a way of topping up the wallet via a US credit card. It won't be long before other UK-centric services appear, I fully expect apps like Barclays Pingit and O2 Wallet to support NFC at some point.

Guys anyone know about the oil effect under certain lights on the back covers of the white phones? Is this considered a fault or normal? Swear i didnt notice it on my old one that i just exchanged. Googled it and seem to be mixed feelings on xda as to whether its a fault or not :|

I have it on mine, must be a defect as it's not on all of them it seems
