it seems that availability is slowly increasing for the 16Gb models
Vodafone have updated their thread for the first time this month

We have now received stock of the pebble blue 16GB Samsung Galaxy SIII, all customers who pre-ordered this device before 7pm on Tuesday 29 May will start to receive their phones from tomorrow (8 June).

 We’re continuing to work closely with Samsung to secure stock of the 32GB pebble blue Samsung Galaxy SIII as soon as possible, and will update this thread as soon as we have more information


Hopefully not too long to wait now..

Why are they telling everyone different things. It seems like loads of places are waiting for a delivery of stock today, so who knows, maybe it hasnt come yet.

Except Play told mrk that they got stock in yesterday?

I just don't know what to think. The person you were talking to might have just looked on the webpage and the order and just read off "awaiting for stock". Who knows.

I know i am colorblind, but that looks black to me, bar the trim that is. Just a trick of the light?

Most companies just make things up on the spot, or misread internal communication and quote it incorrectly to customers.

That's why. You can't be sure of anything until you get a dispatch email from the warehouse department.

It looks black in some lighting angles while dark blue in others but the edge bezel definitely looks blue/purple!

It looks darker and has a deeper gloss than the demo phone I saw last week at Phones4u though so they definitely changed the shade on the new shipments it seems.
 
Looks like a very dark shade of purple to me (not talking about the screen only).........

The one phone that has many colours to it :p


Judging from the colour/reflection of the screen I am guessing it was under a purple tinted light :p


Also some of you lot have no patience whatsoever!!!!!! :p
 
Yeah Milenium Suite at City Pavilion so lots of blue/purple ambient lighting!

Here's one not taken with my S2 and with the correct white balance read off the table.

Anoyone know Orange's status? I can't be dealing with trying to explain the situation to the Indian guy on the phone. I get angry and hang up. :(

As much as i hate to say it, the indian guy can see the stock/launch page so you need him. Fun fact, when people asked to be on the reserve/info list at Orange the employees just went to orange.co.uk and filled in the online form like everyone else does ;)
 
Thought as much. The 'within 30 days' get old fast.

The cheek of it is, they've started billing me for my new contract even though I haven't even received the phone!

I've been waiting for some pics with a confirmed white balance set, ta, I know I'm holding out for black or better, easily done now my Note is ICS and rooted but the white is growing on me and looks better all the time.

If black doesn't come and I still want an S3 I think I'll get white.
