***The Official Samsung Galaxy S III Thread***

I sent mine off direct to Samsung via their website and got it back on Wednesday, 13 days after sending it in. I had the freezes you are all talking about. Sometimes it would freeze every 5 mins, other times it would be fine for days. Anyway, they diagnosed the sudden death problem and put a new main board in - perfect now, and the new part has the chip that doesn't cause the problems.

my s3 is now absolutely fine after updating to mb1... lucky i think. if it was anything else i woukd know by now as it was nearly un usable

Ah nuts, think mine is going to die sometime soon, its somehow just factory reset itself lol, was on charge the other side of the room and i heard the bootup sound, which was odd considering it was already on, went to check and its all fresh - put the MB1 update on it yesterday and it hasnt happened before now, luckily mostly everything was on the SD card so nothing major lost.

I thought it was a typo when I saw it, but 4.2.1 firmware has been 'released'.

Don't see the new camera mentioned in the 4.2.1 release.

*edit*

Photosphere isn't in this the 4.2.1 version. I've seen rumours Samsung are implementing their own 'photosphere'.

Anyone got any cracks in their S3?

I have a crack from the charger port up towards the screen - certainly hasn't come from dropping it.

Purchased it from someone who didn't want it as part of a contract - any chance of getting this sorted under warranty?

Cheers.

wow :) Thanks :D
Also it says £108 cash back, reducing the price to 21.50 a month, does that mean I will pay 21.50 or I will get the cash back?

You claim the money every month therefor only paying £21.50

really? so they just deduct the money?
If your deal included a cashback this will be shown on the receipt emailed to you. The cashback is claimable in five installments over the initial duration of the airtime agreement, during billing months 6, 9, 12, 15 and 18 from the date of connection or upgrade.
To claim, simply email us a copy of the right month’s mobile phone bill to [email protected].
Please note that claims must be received within 60 days from the date shown on the mobile bill you provide to be valid.
The cashback will then be approved and paid by bank transfer directly into your bank account as supplied by you at point of ordering within 30 days.
