Not really sure what else they can do at this stage. bendy screens is a way off and they are at the limit of screen size for a device that can still be classified as a phone and not a tablet.
All in all pretty much what I expected (though the straight edges is REALLY putting me off - looks great but I cant imagine it will be as nice in the hand as the S3)

Well, if HTC can improve the camera (and the battery life isn't bad), it's still a good alternative.

As it stands though the S4 is going to comfortably best it.

Yeah it's not made me quite as excited as I thought it would. Looking through all of the pictures it does still look a bit cheap and cheerful:

I guess it depends how 'wow' the 1080p AMOLED screen is, and the battery, and if HTC can improve the HTC One camera a bit.

true, and with htc's stock issues it will not be good :|

not a bad alternative tho, specially if the camera gets fixed :)

Yeah that looks a bit silly now given the S4 has a bigger screen yet a smaller form factor than the S3.

The iphone S models comes in EXACTLY the same chassis as the non-S versions, this is clearly not the case here. I dunno what some peopl are expecting, there's only so much you can do with a big square screen, what do they expect a hexagonal chassis or something?

When the verge can show me an 'S' iphone that is actually different chassis wise like the S4 is to the S3 I may accept it as an argument.
 
Well, having been surving on my iphone 3GS for the last 3 and a half years, looks like its time for an upgrade.

What do people reckon will be the chances of us getting the 64GB version in the UK? As far as I know the S3 64GB is still not available here. Purely so I can stick all my music on it without having to go through it all and decide what I want or not. 64GB internal + 64GB SD would be sweet. Yes I have a large music collection.

When can we expect to get confirmed release dates from UK carriers? Tomorrow? Or is that too soon? Not followed a mobile phone launch like this before so have no idea what past experiences were like with the S3 for example.
 
The one doesn't look good there but is much better looking in proper photos/videos.

Although I also prefer the front of the GS 4 to the one but prefer the back of the one to the GS 4.

For me, best design/build is the one s, why HTC didn't stick with it but just improve upon it like Samsung did with the GS 3 is beyond me :(
