**** The Official Samsung Galaxy S9/S9 Plus Thread ****

It's 2018 and priced at £700+ Yes thick bezels

The bar has been raised. Up your game or lower your price.

:edit: Third option, stick speakers in the bezels ;-)

Bar being raised is debatable, given that everyone I know hates the thing.
What is un-debatable about what got raised is the price, stupidly so.

Depending on what the camera improvements are like, I may stick with the S8+ another year!

The only reduced feature I see is the smalle rbattery and non dual lens camera? The second lens is only for telephoto and portrait mode, the latter of which works really well with the single lens anyway (it's called selective focus).

It's essentially the S8 vs S8+ all over again, just with a new camera module and new SoC. I don't see any reason to spend over £700 to upgrade from an S8+!

Ah yes, although not sure how that translates to real world differences considering how well the S8 handles things on Oreo!

I would bet that the 6GB RAM will come into its own with the new Dex desktop side of the phones, as opposed to the "phone" side of things.

Meh upgrade.

Unless you badly want a better camera and are willing to pay the huge premium, it seems pointless to be jumping from the likes of a gs 8 (+)

Hmmm question is do I upgrade from my S7 Edge to the S9+ or do I wait for later in the year and see what everyone else does and potentially the Pixel 3. Too many options!

Interesting Samsung are selling both the hybrid (I assume this means dual) SIM and single SIM versions on their UK website

I noticed that too, perfect for when I move away later this year but I going to wait for the price to go down abit. £739...I dont think so! My S7 Edge is fine for now.

Gone for the single sim version as I want the use of sd, even though 128gb should be enough I have a stupid amount of photos and videos on my phone
