**** The Official Sony Xperia 1 Thread ****

So my phone hasn't been charged since 6.30 this morning and it's still on 83%, but I haven't used it very much, few messages bit of browsing and some Spotify.

I'm not using the fingerprint scanner as I don't trust it as much as a sturdy passcode :p so can't comment unfortunately!

I've had very reliable scanners on my last two phones so this pin code nonsense is a dinosaur tech to me :p

Not amused right now not being able to get into my phone reliably, will be seeing a friend later tonight so get them to scan their fingers to see if they have the same problem.

I've lost 25% battery for 1h 27m SoT but that included restoring the phone over WiFi and installing around 90 apps so not a fair assessment yet.

I did find device theme and changed that to dark but nothing changed?

Yep i cant install netflix either. How odd.

The dark theme should work fine, no issues with that here.

Mines on 31% and that since i charged it lunch time yesterday. Had it install 100 apps plus lots of screen time setting them all up. My U11 is on 67% since this morning and I have no used it a huge amount today

Had mine for one day, my thought so far.

Build is great, usually Sony quality and us very classy, though attracts finger prints like no one's business.

It is TALL! But slim too which makes typing a nice experience. Battery for me has been excellent so far and had no problems with Netflix etc.

Camera seems very good though literally taken about 3 shots.

Dynamic range seems excellent. Not had much time to play around with the camera yet but will report back again later

Because of the aspect ratio.
If you use EPSXE to emulate PS1 games using the touch controls, you literally get a 4:3 in the middle and all your controls around the rendered image.

Awesome.

O2 but phone is unbranded and unlocked as far as I can tell, takes my Three sim just fine. I'm on build number 55.0.A.2.205, assume everyone else is on security patch level from 1 April?

Really odd that changing to dark theme does nothing for me, people talking about the one in settings > display > advanced > view > device theme?

Once I get someone else to try their fingerprints tonight I'll know if I have a faulty unit, I know there's at least one guy on Youtube who's having a similar problem.

Would getting a replacement unit affect my headphone claim?

EDIT: Looks like it has Camera 2 API support finally, so might see some gcam mods soon. Not that I had a chance to test the camera yet.

Right, I got my Netflix app to work. I think there's a version that comes pre-installed with the phone and when I restored my phone and it tried to install it from the store the two versions get confused.

So I went into Settings > Apps and Notifications > See all apps > scroll to Netflix which should be there > Disable > Enable after that I go back to main screen, scroll up to see all my apps and Netflix is there. It tells me I need to update it and takes me to Play Store, I update it from there and works just fine.

Sony has good exposure on the sky, but added a lot of blue into what is a grey sky. Things in general seem on a colder side but then again Samsung is on a warmer side. You can adjust the colour temperature easily in the app though when taking a photo.

Also anyone else noticing a solid second or two delay on processing a photo?

That's fixed it. Think I had the same issue as you. Copying from my old phone to the new one broke it.
