Surprised nobody mentioned the Mars mission the other day Perseverance to find life

I think they will find life because we've already found life there

Yeah I was also surprised. I watched the launch while at work. Will be watching the Mars landing in February without a doubt. A really cool mission.

We've had NASA TV on one of wall monitors at work all night. You'd think it would be relatively quick getting back down what with gravity and all, but it's been a slow burn and I'll probably be home in bed by the time they land.

Yes but it's about controlling the velocity to keep the reentry under control as well as landing in the right place. It's not a simple case of undock, point at the landing spot and head for that direction :p

Why ain't they showing the astronaut's or the ship?

Honestly not sure. Might be a thing where they don't want to risk live streaming the worst case scenario.

I think with it being the first manned return, we might get some better footage on further missions. Who knows though.

Oh wow, some locals have just gone right up to the capsule in their own boats!

I'm fairly certain that none of the SpaceX boats are sporting a Trump flag :D

why is the footage quality so bad? its as if they filming on a 480p camera from an old Nokia handset.

Heck, even my little go pro 6 has better Image quality then this LOL

I agree it's quite disappointing. For a company that pushes technology it's lacking! It's not like they're that far out to sea either.
