***The Official Starfield Thread*** (As endorsed by TNA)

In a way the scope of this game is too big, to actually put it off you need about 1000 voice actors playing different roles and more missions for every planet and a way to find a person in the universe.

With ai getting better. They should only get voice actors for the major roles and use ai for the rest in the future imo.

I am sure it won't happen easily from a major studio as there would be some online backlash about ai being used and replacing human jobs though. But hopefully if a balance is done you can every NPC voiced and only hire 10 or so voice actors only. The money can then be used elsewhere.

Like planet nav for my ship?

So have I got this right that in order for the cargo links to work you need one link per resource?
I can't seem to connect to a cargo link once it's connected to another one. Seems wrong to me?

No, cargo links can transfer multiple resource types, but they can only link to one other, eg you have to have them in pairs.

It then means (because not all outpost location have all resources) you have to start chaining them between locations.

I would say though, having spent several days messing with outpost building and production supply, I wouldn't bother. There is a very frustrating bug where sometimes your extractors stop for no reason, which then buggers up your supply lines.

Basically it needs some patching and updating it's not properly implemented.

If you however have more luck then I do please report back.

Not only space suits, why does my ship slow down when it stops boosting?

That's a very good point.

They don't give a **** about science, so the least they could have done is introduced some plot mcguffin that gave us instant communication between planets and systems.

Bit bored of flying light years to somewhere just to be told something that could have been put in an email. A lot of that just seems to be to unnecessarily pad out the game.

They do cos every time i have to pay off my bounties i can do it from a terminal light years away (let’s ignore the fact I’m typing this on a device in 2023 that allows me to pay bills whenever I like). However, every time time some idiot companion wants to rabbit nonsense at me, i have to show up in person

I am sure the regulars in this thread will get the party poppers out now that I am done with this absolute tosh and I will leave them alone to enjoy it in peace.

It was perfect timing really that I finished the main storyline on the same day the Reddit thread I posted blew up. Reading that, it is good to know that I am not completely crazy holding the opinion of the game that I do. It seems most people think the game is average at best with two minorities that either think the game is the best thing since sliced bread or absolutely dire. I think it is obvious where I stand.

As much as I have enjoyed my posts winding up the die hard lovers of the game here, I can't take a second more of actually playing Starfield. I think I will continue playing through Mass Effect, an actually good space game.

Cheerio!
Probably not a great idea to admit you were just trying to troll people (which seems to have backfired.) Just saying.

Not trolling. I can't help it if others get upset at my personal opinion of the game which seems to be closer to majority opinion of the game going by SteamDB ratings and the massive reddit thread that reached the reddit front page that I started. Unless you are defining trolling as writing something that goes against majority opinion on any particular thread? Not sure what has backfired? You could also have just let things lie and I wouldn't be back on this thread posting again which I had no intention of doing.

Oh I almost almost forgot, last night I was trying to take over a ship and the ladder stopped working, I had to jetpack up to each level.

I get that they didn't want you going all over just stealing ships and making a fortune selling them but I made a whole 8k on a class C ship after registering it, almost makes thieving not worth it....almost.

It's easy to do but you don't make much money selling ships.

Still no official DLSS patch yet then?
