With a litle help from Noxis. :D

Thanks. :)

Without meaning to sound rude, does no one read the first post? UK PSP info, not imports or Japanese/US ones that some places here sell. I know that lots of you guys already have the machine, but I don't care, this thread is for people to share info on their UK PSPs.

anyone that got their psp from the UK, can you tell me the firmware version please?
:)

firmware is version 2.0, comes on a umd, first thing that u will see in the box is a little notice that says "Please upgrade to the version 2 firmware on the UMD provided, before you do anything else with the unit"

I just ordered mine off another famous retailer...can't wait till I get it...I'll post my answers to all your questions as soon as I get it... :)

And why would anyone want to piece together sensible sentences ?

Well everyone is entitled to their opinion :p

Seriously though, I am getting it for the boring commute, and also as I do not have a stand alone mp3 player (nor do I feel the need for one) so its an added bonus. Plus it looks cool and shiny, and I can't say no to shiny things.

You cant not have a PSP, much like an Xbox360, a Nintendo DS or an OcUK forums account, these are lifes absolute basics!

On BBC London News earlier they had a 2 minuite piece on the PSP in one of London's HMVs. There were a few people queuing outside for the midnight release.

Are any OcUKers going for a midnight release? Why queue up outside HMV all day and night when a savvy preorder means I can roll out of bed at 10 or 11 and wait for the Royal Mail van to roll on by? :p

and just think, those 10/11 hours extra gaming, who needs sleep  ?

side note: purchesed mine in the UK about a month 1/2 ago, although it was from an import shop :( . the games i got were FIFA and Wipeout, for all all those unsure on a good racing game wipeout is awsome - hoping to get spiderman 2 and metal gear acid in the post in the next couple of days.

first impressions were fantastic.... great for a 3 hour train journey. impressions after a month - still fantastic, and still impressing me everytime i see the screen [no dead pixels.......yet!]

Heh heh. True normal Mr Postie is useless, yesterday I was waiting for a DVD, and because I was in the shower (and for some reason, he didn't think to put it through the letterbox) he left it on the door step. Anyone could have picked it up. Saying that Mr Postie /Van/ is very reliable, unlike Mr Courier Van who seems to deliver when he likes, if at all!
