The ongoing Toronto Trip

Superb pictures mate, as previously said, we are off to Toronto in August but the first three days we are staying in Niagara, specifically on a Sunday night so we can see the fireworks!

Its certainly impressive from the Maid of the Mist, when you can open you eyes :)

Yeah it really was :) 34c and I was standing inside Niagara Falls. My camera survived the experience. I had it wrapped up in my blue Maid of the Mist coat thing but it still got rather wet. Still working, for now :)

Hope it turns out to be alright. Mine took 4 months till it decided to go poop after getting wet. I would have gabled it for the experience and shot anyway :D

I returned home on Friday to hayfever. I've got about a weeks worth of pictures left to process

I was staying with TerraS in his rather cool condo. I made a trip out to Niagara which was 2hrs by train and stayed in a motel. That was as far as I went.

I meant to do a HDR one but I never got round to it. Everytime I was there I was knackered from walking :) He did join me at the weekends but as he has to work he's slowly going through his shots.
 
God, I'm so, so jealous. I wish my Toronto pics were even half as good as that. I'm learning loads of stuff about Toronto that I never knew and I've been there twice. :)

Helicopter flight over the falls gives a totally different perspective, but it doesn't always run. It's also pretty brutal on video cameras (first time I went, the camera jammed, second time I went, it wasn't running).

Few tips for anyone else looking at cyKey's photos and going there:

If you like Hard Rock Cafe, there's another one in the Skydome, and there's two at Niagara Falls (one either side). :)

As others have said, get Up the CN Tower (unless you're afraid of heights of course). Do Sky Pod too if you can, but it's an extra charge and can get very busy. Stand on the glass floor if you dare. :D

I see you found the Subway. There' salso the PATH network as well. Nothing spectacular down there but it's another fairly unique aspect of Toronto.

That's all. I want to go back there now. :(

Yeah we meant to goto the Hard Rock Cafe to watch a game with our meal but time got the better of us. The PATH system is an excellent concept but so hot in the hot weather. I was trying to build my confidence to go up the CN Tower but the lift in TerraS's condo fell like half a floor once and I'm now scared of lifts :)

I guess because of the stereotypical subway black and white style :) I didn't really think to put them in colour.
