Btw there is a thread over at XS... and it appears the DFI Expert and the DFI crossfire are killing CPU's...

didnt put enough paste on and the CPU stuck to the heatsink and bent the pins when i tried to take it out. It doesnt seem to be doing very much now.

Wow unlucky... when I had my watercooling kit I used to put the block on tight and when I took it off it used to do all but rip the CPU out of the socket... the AS5 made it stick like glue.

Wow wtf... a 30c drop?

Was it hard taking it off? Did it make contact with the HSF trickier once removed?

They don't really like it... forces the RAM to run 2T, but you won't really notice it unless you game or bench frequently.

Very touchy indeed! I've not seen a retailer ever be that curt. Maybe they're getting a little frustrated with people ringing up about steppings every half hour.

lmao I can only imagine the number of calles they have from people us, it must be absolutely soul-destroyign hearing and answering the exact ssame question 50x a day.

No, the CPU is swappable without any worries. Just make sure you update to the latest BIOS released for your board before you take the 3500+ out.

Dam i still cant run prime95, ive clcocked it at 2.5, got cpu voltage high, ram, chipset, LDT up. and only do about 6mins ? this is really ******* me off

A) don't swear they're very strict on that here.

B) Loosen memory timings? Is voltage TOO high? If not then you may have a very dud CPU. What's your PSU like?

Yeah - might do, although I'm still unsure as to the limit of my motherboard and PSU atm - so not sure how sensible getting a new one will be.

Knowing my luck the mobo will hold me back somewhat, wish I could afford a new NF4 but its annoying having to buy a PCI=E

Tha Asrock accepts both AGP and PCI-E?
