The core is good for 90C on Titan and any decent waterblock will keep it under 60C. Will the EK perhaps giving you 55C get you a better overclock? Perhaps not.

However, having your vrms at 60C instead of 90C may make a big difference despite both been well under the 120C limit.

No idea if that applies to Pascal though.

Im too impatient to wait for people to get theirs or reviews though

Keeping the VRMs cool is always a good idea. Even if they can handle 120C it is still extra heat that will find it's way to the rest of the card hindering performance.

I am not an expert on individual blocks but anything that is better at removing heat has got to be a good thing.

One thing I notice when I water cool 4 GPUs is the rest of the PC runs better. I think this is because on air the cards are letting a lot more heat get into the case which in turn effects the motherboard and system memory.

Ultimately the Pascal Titan is just another graphics card. Sometimes people can get a bit too excited about products like this.

In the next few months I expect to do a lot of gaming as I am a big Civ fan and version 6 will be out soon. When playing it I don't think I will notice much difference if I am using a 1060, 1080 or Titan Pascal, I will be a lot more interested in the game itself.

@ 100% fan / 120% power, I can get boost clocks a shade over 2100mhz, maxes out around 75-77c on the upper card, ~70c on the lower. Not too shabby for air cooling, albeit loud.

Edit: Pic was larger than I expected, so no embedding!

Mod edit: Add a "h" to the end of the name of your image, to get a smaller version e.g. jbkkMIP.jpg becomes jbkkMIPh.jpg

Any X79 or X99 is fine with these cards or even several of them.

The object of the exercise is to get playable fps in your games and suitable for the limits of your monitors. Anything over that is a waste of time.

If you are getting very high fps turn up the settings or raise the resolution or both.

If you really want to chase pointless ultra high fps get a 2700k based PC and overclock it to 5.2ghz.

For gaming I only ever run my CPU @4.0ghz even when using 4 GPUs. 2160p using max settings is great at keeping the fps down. If I am running a really old game I just use a single card.

Not when the monitors only support 60htz.

Having said that it is still easy to get 4 old Maxwell Titans to hit the 200fps cap in BF4 maxed @2160p without going above 4.0ghz on the CPU. :eek:

I have got the Witcher 3 and will test it out in the morning with a pair of Pascal Titans.

I find all these performance improvement claims quite strange as this is one product that NVidia have made a point of saying there are no gains in normal use.

On the other hand NVidia have made some outrageous claims for their Pascal cards some of which have been proven to be bogus.

I would urge caution to anyone considering one of these HB bridges as they are quite expensive, I personally own 2 of them and have found very little benefit apart from the looks.

Update

HB SLI Bridge and Witcher 3 using Pascal Titan SLI

I have just tested the HB bridge in The Witcher 3 maxed @2160p.

Using the HB bridge did indeed give a nice performance boost to the average fps but that is not the whole story.

With the HB bridge I was averaging 73fps. There was also not much variation in fps with it remaining close to the average.

With the Flexi bridge I was averaging 67fps. There was a problem with the Flexi bridge when I started to move around and the average would drop to 56fps and stay there for long periods. If I stopped moving for a few minutes the fps would go back up.

I am sure there will be other games that are as demanding as Witcher 3 and for these using Pascal cards in SLI it is well worth getting the HB bridge.
