    Wow, thats pretty interesting. I always thought a bore was a massive whirlpool. Damn David Eddings.

    Ah.. It's basically the same, but on a much smaller scale up the River Severn. You even get people trying to surf it at points :o

    There's one in Arnside, Cumbria as well, which comes when the tide comes in from Morecambe Bay.
