Ive just bought a Nikon D40, I'm also new to photography but want to get into it. Is this camera ok? Is there anything else you would recommend with this camera to get the most out of it?

The sigma 10-20mm is an interesting lens. It certainly needs thought to go into the shot as at 10mm it's quite a wide lens. Will be fun learning to use it effectively though.
