What clock speed do you actually see in game?Has anyone got 2600Mhz plus on the overclocks for the 6800 XT? If so, what settings did you apply in the radeon overclocking tool? Cant seem to get past 2550 on my Merc 319![]()
What clock speed do you actually see in game?
I can reach around 2500Mhz in game with 2550Mhz set in GPU Tuning, but that's my limit.
My sample does not appear to be one of the better ones based on other reports, but even so +250Mhz on the core clock is not bad.
A bigger power limit would unlock more core frequency.
In the interests of keeping a lower fan speed, i settle on 2450Mhz @1.075v (peak voltage) for 24/7.
Wow, exact same as you. The performance increase wasn't that much, so reverted to defaults i.e rage mode BIOS and left everything else default on the MERC 319.
You didn't answer my previous question, i have more for you too.
What have you got your memory speed at?
I find in games it's important to get the frequency dialled in as if you go to high it hurts performance and detracts from the gains from core overclocking. I tested several games standing still in various areas to check at what point i lost performance.
My particular sample can bench and get higher scores at 2150Mhz with Fast Timing enabled. However, in games i lose performance so drop to +2012Mhz with Fast Timings on.
What is the default core clock speed as shown in GPU Tuning for your sample? Mine was 2364Mhz at default, appears to be on the low end of the scale.
That's not default though, i mean before you change anything what is the core frequency.2100Mhz with fast timings. Any faster and i lost performance rather than gain. Mine was at 2406Mhz via auto overclocking.

I've had my 6800XT for a week waiting for the EKWB water block to arrive. All assembled now and in the case.![]()
Just running through some benchmarks. Stock in Timespy is 13000 and 13500 in rage mode, that's with a stock 6700k. I'll do some overclocking later.
Incidentally the not entirely cheap EKWB waterblock came with an obvious manufacturing defect.

Pretty slack quality control.
Edit: still working out how to insert photos, I'll get there soon. I think that's it.
got a 6800 and impressed with the build quality, the thing is built like a tank

Yeah good score that nice clock too. I can only dream of such high clocks.
It is a guy from Guru3d forum. And i think that is reference card, you can read his posts there in the owners topic. He also shares his settings. That's not my card but i wish it was lol
