Got my RX 6800 on the way will post here when arrives.
Hey hey, The Surge 1, Super fun game, I am now playing the surge 2:)
on my 2070 super, the Surge 2 takes up 7.3GB of GPU memory, 6800 with its 16GB come in handy for some titles & near future

3070 I was first going to buy, but not in stock & the price went up 4 times from £469 to £630
Glad I waited now

@Darren_uk Yeah, tested that too, but for some reason my overlay didn't appear. Absolutely ADORE these two games, they're incredible. Definitely doable for 5K 60 in both, with minor dips when heavy alpha is on screen. Makes much more of a difference in the first one though, in the 2nd I think I might play at 1440p for 120hz (my TV can't do 4K 120 :( )

Also just tested out Control for ray tracing and I gotta say, I think the ray traced reflections are broken on AMD at least. They're super blocky & just a mess, like you can see a very low-res reflection in the materials. Absolutely not worth enabling even if the performance was free. The other options seem to work ok. Ray traced transparent reflections + RT contact shadows at 1440p max seem to hold 60 fps. Can add diffuse too and then it's near 50. Ended up turning down both contact shadows & diffuse, and didn't feel like I was missing anything so they're gonna stay off. The transparent reflections are nice but I gotta say - I'm pretty underwhelmed overall.

Runs beautifully in Watch Dogs Legion at 4K maxed out, but didn't have the courage to turn on RT since I'd have to switch to DX12 and that's a hassle and I know it's broken anyway.

Much, much happier I didn't go for the gimped 3070 in the end! RT turned out to be WAY overrated.

Now to experiment with OC...

I can see how sharp that Photo is its really high res sweetness
Hopefully, be swapping out my 2070 super tomorrow

Doesn't quite hold 30 fps with ultra RT in SotTR demo benchmark, tho it spits out an average of 36. 1440p 60 fps + RT absolutely doable tho. Not sure it matters, kinda meh effects & boring game. :p

Gave KCD a spin too but the CPU performance there holds me back too much, the poor GPU is half asleep.

I just tried Halo 4 maxed out at 5K using super resolution and a locked 120FPS using my 6800. It looks amazing.

Anyone tried any overclocking yet? Here is what I have managed to get stable:
