The Radeon RX 6900/6950 XT Owners Thread.

Just upgraded from the 5700XT sapphire to the 6950XT sapphire pure and wow is it a beast! 3 slots and the white goes well with my case theme. <3
Got a GPU score of 10,773 in time spy extreme and 22,062 in normal with a slight memory tune and the OC bios switch position.

Noice what case is that if you don't mind me asking? Mine's showing its age.

Those white builds remind me if space 1999. Showing my age again.

Eagle transporter, amirite? :p

Very tempted with the 6950xt amd ref card. At £799. Might be a bit overkill though. But will likely see me through for a good several years. Baffling how I can be so indecisive over nvidia or amd. Anything within reason will be a massive step up on my 970 which has served me well since 2014

That would be a monumental upgrade :D

I went from a 3080ti to a 6950XT purely because I loved the look of the reference cards so much...and they could eventually be purchased. Don't have a single regret, the performance at 4k has been fantastic, I find the card absolutely silent at stock performance. Cyberpunk genuinely felt a lot better which I finished with my 6950, PUBG runs at a pretty consistent 144fps at 4k as well. I'll definitely be in no rush to upgrade and can see how things pan out over the last few months of the year.

Also I did share some pics but the general packaging and included bonuses are nice :)

Thanks for the information. What is the reliability like in real world use? You hear lots of doom and gloom about driber issues, freezes and crashes etc or framerate drops. Part of me is also interested in potentially in future upgrading to new amd cpu (will see how ddr5 and new range goes etc) to see if SAM is good.

No issues to be fair with the card at all in real world use, no freezes or crashes outside what you would normally expect to happen every now and again in PC gaming  But the main games I play have been absolutely solid so I can't complain.

In the end, I bought a ASUS ROG 3090 OC for 725.00 off Gumtree - card is in good nick but I’ll re-paste it and change the thermal pad and hopefully it’ll perform just as new (it already does to be fair) if not better.

However, this was a tough, tough decision. Not knowing whether there are still issues with with LG C9’s and RDNA 2 cards in regards to VRR which decided it in the end.

Will definitely be paying attention to RDNA 3. :)
