To be honest I think the average fan just wants to see Rangers treated in the same way any other club would be.
Probably the most sensible thing said in this thread for a while.

this is not unique in world football, though im not saying it makes it right.(and has happened in scotland, the aberdeen/falkirk relegation farce)
there seems to be a perception that rangers are being treated differently in some way to benefit rangers, thats not true, the proposals are only there to benifit the other spl clubs, get that cash cow to the milking stall !
Shame on SFA Shame on SFL and Shame on SPL for their actions so far.
Yes but they are not doing it for rangers. Let's get that fact straight. They have messed up big time and they know it. I wonder how many feel foolish at rushing out no statements now lol.
Any shame on rangers at all - like, for putting them into this precarious position in the first place - or is still everyone elses fault?
This is whats going to happen now.
Tomorrow - the SFL clubs will decide that there is no to newco in division one, its division 3 or nothing.
Wednesday - the teams that have said no to newco in the SPL will backtrack and Rangers will be allowed in with sanctions.
Fans will revolt, there will be a huge number of teams not able to sustain themselves as a result, Aberdeen, Dundee United, Kilmarnock, St Mirren, Motherwell and a few others will find themselves in administration pretty quickly.
or
SFL clubs will vote newco into division one (now the best option) - there you have it folks, there is no way now that Rangers will start the season in division 3, its Div 1 or SPL with sanctions (transfer ban, loss of income etc).

There is no vote at todays SFL meeting that will take place at a later date.
Or option 3 we goto Div 3 and there will be a huge number of teams not able to sustain themselves as a result, Aberdeen, Dundee United, Kilmarnock, St Mirren, Motherwell and a few others will find themselves in administration pretty quickly.
Correct it is mearly a discussion of what is on offer today.
and they are doing this to benefit themselves not rangers, if this happens ,what a climbdown from a cabal of small minded bitter no mark chairmen, thought you said this wouldnt happen mark ? that there would be plenty money to sustain the spl clubs, selling another 1k season tickets ,sky would still support them ,local derbys ect,the sfa and the spl couldnt organize a **** up in a brewery. This is whats going to happen now.

Yeah, but today the SPL will know which way the SFL is going to vote which will influence there vote tomorrow.
god save the queen, god bless the rangers.
Not if the SFL were smart and kept it quiet.
she never used to pay tax eitherWhats the Queen got to do with it all?? Doubt very much if she gives one hoot if any football team are in administration or to what league they are in. Probably more interested if they aren't paying the HMRC though...
this is very much open to debate, "vocal internet minority",how many were at hampden on Saturday again ? doing it for themselves and RANGERS ? aye right mark. They would be doing it to benefit themselves and Rangers if it happens, but it will cause far more harm to Scottish football more than any other option, they will find that out the hard way, more fans will be lost to the game from clubs across the leagues as a result of this.
