BBC reporting that Celtic did vote.

As for the Dundee conflict of interests, surely Dunfermline had a major conflict too ?

Clyde statement was also very insightful of the desperation of SFA.

This has to rank as one of the worst mishap by a footballing body anywhere in the world.

It just gets better and better every day, I am sure there are pub leagues which are leagues ahead in organisation.

There was a story doing the rounds that Kille had been told under no uncertain terms from the bank that they should not do anything to the detriment of their own income.

I could see the point if they had lost out by 1 vote but the fact is Killie will be one of the first clubs to go when this hits means they probably didn't want to vote for their own downfall

SFL clubs cant abstain unless there are extraordinary circumstances, hence why Dundee will not vote on allowing rangers into SFL at their own request

At least it'll put an end to the tabloid press' "sources" saying why Rangers should be in the SPL etc. I just hoped that the SFL would've voted by this time as well since the league and cups start soon. It'll probably mean Rangers will only have a couple of weeks to get in players for whatever division they're in, assuming no new transfer ban is put in place.

STV says it was Kilmarnock who abstained. They deserve to be fined for being cowards

Does it come under sporting integrity this fine? Maybe they should also have been fined for moving season ticket holders to allow loads of Celtic fans into their ground.

Division three please, gives us time to regroup and rebuild.

To not take your responsibility as a member of the SPL and abstain is cowardly.
You like use use the term sporting integrity a lot when your club had none. Kilmarnock bottled it...simple as.

At least the other SPL clubs had the courage to vote.

I believe they are free to vote how they like that's what happens in a democracy. Can't fine them as they don't agree with you. They will be first in admin because of this and won't be the last.

Then again the alternative was to give Rangers a free pass, essentially putting them and Celtic above the rules despite the clubs happily ditching Falkirk and Livingston in the past for financial problems.

No brainer, Rangers should start at the bottom of division 3. At least then they'll have time to sort themselves out and work their way back up. In the meantime the top clubs can adjust to having less cash or go bust and join Rangers.

Lifetime Rangers fan here - born in the Southern General etc.

I want us to go to division 3 rather than begging to be admitted to the first division. We can keep the few loyal players and rebuild with youth - there has to finally be some decent output from Murray park that we can use. We should also put out a rallying call to former players to come back and help us, either in a playing 'role model' position for the youth, or in a coaching capacity. eg Rino Gatusso.

After rising to the SPL over3/4 years we should boycott all away games at those teams who voted against us for 10 years (ie all of them except Kilmarnock).

I'll dance on the graves of the teams that go to the wall when Sky withdraw their money and they don't have traveling supporters from Rangers twice a year.

We are Rangers, super Rangers. No-one likes us, we don't care.

Edit - alternatively, I wouldn't object to a sly application to the English leagues just to see if it would go anywhere.

Why should Sevco still be above the rules? They have to apply to the 3rd division but other applicants like Spartans have 3 years of legitimate accounts.

Sevco should look at being an amateur team and campaigning for a pyramid system in Scottish football if they wish to get back to the SPL.

So do you not think it's fair that the new company dont get automatic promotion into the SPL?

The diddy teams voted with their envious hearts instead of their heads. The vindictive nature of the votes is what gets me heated rather than the result itself.

I will do all I can to take the other teams under - I am going to contact sky and say I am cancelling my subscription. Also going to contact each sponsor of the spl and every team and inform them they will be getting no business from me as long as they remain associated with that club.

You'd have more effect encouraging the "diddy" teams to behave like Rangers have in the last 10 years than walking away from anything to do with them in the SFL/SPl and sky....
