The Real NPD Sept Sales Figures

Gotta pick you up on this. How many of those sales were pre-orders or bought on recommendation? i.e. not bought because they played it then thought 'wow this is great!' ?
My point is, just because it sold that many doesn't make it a great game. It's the most hyped game ever, it's the much awaited third in the trilogy, these are the reasons people bought it. They only found out, after playing it for themselves how 'great' or 'AAA' it is.
A question for you, if it was revealed (for example) that 50% of that 3,000,000 thought the game was crap and wanted a refund, would it still be the game you say it is?

I never said it was a great game (did I?) all I said was that it was AAA. There is absolutely no denying Halo is a AAA franchise and a system seller. It's not as good as I'd hoped it would be, but I wouldn't say it was the most overhyped game ever.
