"The rise of rape talk"

women hate the C word :P if u ever have an argument with a women and she starts Fing just lay down the C bomb and watch the reactiob

Just one of these things which people have started saying. My mates and I say it all the time. They also like to say "I'm gonna kill your family" if you 'rape them' at a game :P

It's only the degradation of the English language, don't worry.

My wife uses 'devastated' all the time, "ohh I missed Corry last night I was devastated" I shudder to think what she would feel when something serious happens.

Haha! :D

Offensive and stupid.

Keep it reserved for actual rape, or examples of suitably violent abuse or damage to something.

Totally agree. People who say 'It's just a word' probably have no experience of a rape victim. Imagine your mum/daughter/sister being raped next time you say it. Still funny?

People will still say it though, like 'get aids/cancer' and so on. Shame really.

so every word you or someone uses you imagine your mum and sister together doing this/having this done ?

1 cup :p

It's an extremely loaded word. When people use it casually in conversation to describe mundane experiences it really does belittle the actual act.
Not really. If I knew someone who'd actually been raped, I wouldn't go "Pfft, that's nothing" just because it's bandied around with a different meaning in a completely unrelated situation. Just like you don't go "You've got AIDS? Lol AIDS" in real life, unless you're an utter ****.

Context is kinda crucial here.
