Seeing more and more about Everton signing Lescott for £4 million now.

We need the money as we dont get the parachute payments any more, but he is by far our best defender (possibly even player). Will be a big miss.

Really cant think of anyone who would step in though and a do a job like he can. Certainly nobody in the team.

Personally id keep ameobi and chopra.. just for squad players.. our squad is too thin anyways.
Would like to see luque given another chance next year.. he has it in him and im sure he can get off the mark, but obviously if a good offer came in then it would be ideal to sell.

Id keep bowyer too.. another good squad player, he can always score the odd goal.

I think we will definitely get Kuyt, we have been scouting for ages and its very public we want him, with shearer definitely gone, it seems Kuyt would be ideal to come in, strong and proven goalscorer.. not just 10 a season either. But obviously the premiership will be another challenge. I really dont see Torres coming here like, whether we have the money or not,

I think Arsenal will sign Torres.

So i think we got minimum of £25m for a RM and 2 strikers (as even if Didi does leave, we won't need to spend big money on a replacement with Momo, Xabi and Stevie G around).

Ideally UTD could do with a clear out that will put the fear into some players that their position is not a given.

Richardson-(Another little so and so stealing a living from the game). I'd gladly drive him to West Brom this minute

Silvestre-A liability, one good game spoiled by five bad ones. Not enough room at left back with Gabby, Evra, Silvestre and O'Shea fighting for that spot

Van Nistelrooy has Veron & Beckham written all over it so I expect him to go.

Possibly one from Giggs, Scholes or G Neville

Coming in well to be honest I think we dont need to go wholesale in purchases. Quality not quantity. The word on the street is Riquelme. Possibly some other Argentine whos name escapes me.

Supposed to be a deal in place that Obi Mikkel is ratified as a UTD player. Will never kick a ball and is then sold to Chelsea. We then get the green light to go for this other defensive midfielder.

Other name being banded around is Genaro Gattuso. His missus is Walter Smiths daughter who has supposedly never settled in Italy and wants to get back home. Gattuso also wants to chance his hand in the Prem so Ferguson is supposedly using his influence with Walter Smith to cut a deal.

Whoever comes in we deffo need a new Captain for next season as G Neville is not upto the task imho

Benitez will be making a mistake not to keep fowler in my opinion, he is a handy player to have on the pitch, its great to have a forward player with experience that still has some skill (cough morientes)

Don't really want Hamann, solid as a rock player and without him we wouldn't of got the CL last year. Nice to have as backup too.

Just need strikers.....

Fair call, and we've rarely been big-spenders in any case. £25m isn't going to buy a lot, especially when it comes to established and proven strikers...

Still, Rafa gave the impression a few months ago that if he didn't get the money he needs then he'd be off. I hope the board do back him, but both parties need to be sensible.

Riise has played most of this season at LB, he's only played LM when they've rested Kewell. It will be between him and Aurelio for LB next year, with Kewell, Gonzalez and Zenden (who can play LB as well) LM.
And don't be suprised if Traore leaves (hopefully to Everton)

The ONLY thing going for Cisse is he is a different type of striker than the others we have.If we buy a pacey frontman then yeah,he'll be off

2nd, Gerrards top. Benitez doesn't rate him; doesn't do enough defensive work, just stands on the half way line waiting for a ball over the top. He's a good enough player, just doesn't fit in Benitez's plans.

But he has outscored Fowler , Crouch and Morienties who all presumably do fit into his plans.

He will score more goals than Fowler, Crouch and Morientes (who will also leave) but will he help defend (closing down etc)? Also if you take the goals he scored in the CL qualification games his record isn't that amazing. Fowler with a full pre-season will score as much as Cisse will and Crouch offers something different even if you don't rate him (which i do) as a player.
