***The RX 7600/XT RX 7700 XT, RX 7800 XT and 7900 GRE owners thread***

What are your settings?

I copied yours, actually gave me a slightly lesser score than what i already had, so i turned the voltage down to 950 Mv, that gave me the 21,409, which is my highest to date, i tried again at 930 Mv and saw glimpses of colour flashing during the run, i escaped out and decided that's it... :)

Also it matches the RT performance of a 3070ti so it’s pretty sweet.

Yeah i didn't buy it for RT, i mean at sub £500 i'm not expecting to run RT with my 1440P in just about anything, it didn't matter if it was a £500 Nvidia GPU or AMD its all just nope....

But i was a little surprised at the RT performance, its not great but if you watch enough mainstream reviews you would think its awful, its not.

far too close to the 7800XT price still.

Yeah its a good card and not too far in performance from the 7800 XT, but its that 12GB thing, nothing 12GB should cost more than £350 IMO.

On another note...
There is a Gigabyte 7700 XT on preorder for £420, the 7700 XT Pulse is still £450, the 7800 XT Pulse is £480, £30 more.
I'm guessing they still have stock at the original £450.

I hope AMD / Nvidia have learned that anything less than 16GB is just not selling for midrange money, people don't want them at all unless they are lower mid range money.

5600XT. its perfectly fine but want more VRAM for other things.

I think AMD will be launching RDNA 4 late this year, not sure about Nvidia.

For sure if there is nothing worth buying wait, no matter how _____ it is with enough generational gaps its bound to be worth it at some point, i hope i don't eat my own words there :D

Both GRE and 7800xt will have a similar longevity at 1440p so it boils down to budget and whether another £50 is worth pushing the boat out for 10-15% more performance.

I’m not seeing the requirements go up dramatically in this console generation maybe PS6 in 2027 will push our cards to the brink and require upgrade I’m not sure.

16gb fine now maybe the new minimum in 3 years?

The PS4 Pro is 45% faster, its equivalent to an RX 7700 XT.

I love the per game / .exe performance profile in the AMD drivers.

I play around in Unreal Engine, hours and hours of it, i don't want the GPU running at full clocks and full power while doing that, so i can simply select the Unreal Editor .exe in the the performance tuning of the drivers, set the clock / memory low, like 1500/ 2000 and the power limited to -10%.

Now when i open a project the drivers apply those setting just for the Unread Editor, you can even see that little screen blink as its setting the profile automatically when you open the project. Brilliant.... :D

its really plane looking. Need to turn the RGB off
Sometimes plane can be good, it has a quality astatic.

IMO this is a good looking case.

This is ugly as _____

So been playing about with the OC.

green screens when I set memory to 2475mhz. Can run fast timings at 2400mhz. Odd that the memory chips are rated for 2500mhz but they can't actually run at that. 980mv on the core is stable.

be Interesting to see what the 7800 XT has for it's memory voltage and current. This is mine from HWiNFO

Mem SOC 0.898v
SOC Current 36A

Mem volt VDDIO 1.35v
Mem volt VDDCI 0.834v

Mem current VDDIO 22.3A
Mem Current VDDCI 12.6A

980mv on the core is stable

Try running 1000 mv, the core voltage also matters for memory stability.

1.34v on the memory,

well would you look at that. mem 2616. Tried 2625 but it green screened not long after time spy extreme finished. Core frequency down 100mhz on my previous best.

Nice.... if that' still not 100% stable over time back the memory off a little more, the maximum 100% stable memory i can get is 2588. I did have it running at 2600 flat but....

Ok, i had been running Vram 2588 for a couple of days, yesterday i turned it up to 2600, no issues in any game.

Then i watched Gamers Nexus on Youtube, suddenly the screen went black, the sound was still playing but garbled and intermittent, it did that for about 30 seconds and then the PC rebooted its self, it loaded back in to Windows no problem, once the driver loaded, it took a little longer than usual, i got a message that the performance settings had been reset due to instability.

So i think 2588 is where the limit is for my card, i'm quite happy with that :)

Its been rock solid at 2588.

Anyone else having a weird issue with Adrenaline whereby it is resetting back to default settings?
All I've done with mine is do a custom fan curve. I can be playing a game and all of a sudden the gpu fans ramp up. Exit game and Adrenaline has reset back to default settings.

No.... Do you have MSI AB running? if so make sure the little Windows logo isn't lit, if it is it may conflict with your Adrenaline software.

I've read somewhere it can be something to do with windows fast start up. Which I don't have activated, so it can't be!

I do use it, so far as i know if you don't it resets your settings in the performance tab on every reboot, it might be worth you turning it on, see if it fixes your issue, you can always turn it off again later.
