***The RX 7600/XT RX 7700 XT, RX 7800 XT and 7900 GRE owners thread***

its really plane looking. Need to turn the RGB off
Sometimes plane can be good, it has a quality astatic.

IMO this is a good looking case.

This is ugly as _____

Also probably not a great card to be mounted like that. The backplate is great and the side view RGB on or off is quite appealing. Very plain from the fan side.

So been playing about with the OC.

green screens when I set memory to 2475mhz. Can run fast timings at 2400mhz. Odd that the memory chips are rated for 2500mhz but they can't actually run at that. 980mv on the core is stable.

be Interesting to see what the 7800 XT has for it's memory voltage and current. This is mine from HWiNFO

Mem SOC 0.898v
SOC Current 36A

Mem volt VDDIO 1.35v
Mem volt VDDCI 0.834v

Mem current VDDIO 22.3A
Mem Current VDDCI 12.6A

Try running 1000 mv, the core voltage also matters for memory stability.

1.34v on the memory,

Anybody play DayZ with one of these GPU's? All i hear is AMD and DayZ sucks, low FPS in cities blah blah blah.. but i would love to get back on an AMD GPU if they run ok in DayZ.. Currently my 3060 Ti with the 5800X3D gets around 200-300 FPS at 1080p with my preferred in-game settings but this is nice for a locked 120 FPS whether in cities or anywhere else.

Cheers :)

I have a 7800XT mba, I manage to get vram to clock to 2600mhz with fast timings on a core voltage of 1020mv, min core clocks 2600mhz and max at 3075mhz PL+15%. All stable in COD etc and getting 21828 on Timespy and 10300 on Timespy extreme.

Quite pleased it exceeds a 6950XT at stock. This will do for me till PS6 (or when the Missus lets me splurge £2k on a gpu :D)

well would you look at that. mem 2616. Tried 2625 but it green screened not long after time spy extreme finished. Core frequency down 100mhz on my previous best.

Nice.... if that' still not 100% stable over time back the memory off a little more, the maximum 100% stable memory i can get is 2588. I did have it running at 2600 flat but....

Ok, i had been running Vram 2588 for a couple of days, yesterday i turned it up to 2600, no issues in any game.

Then i watched Gamers Nexus on Youtube, suddenly the screen went black, the sound was still playing but garbled and intermittent, it did that for about 30 seconds and then the PC rebooted its self, it loaded back in to Windows no problem, once the driver loaded, it took a little longer than usual, i got a message that the performance settings had been reset due to instability.

So i think 2588 is where the limit is for my card, i'm quite happy with that :)

Its been rock solid at 2588.

TBF I only OC for HWbot. I'll run an undervolt for everything else.

Good Increase over stock though. Are you pleased with the card ?

Managed to pick up a 7700xt on a deal for £350 which I though was too good of a price to pass up on, so I have switched from team green to team red.

Just wondering if I am bottlenecking the card in any way with my b450 motherboard with being on pcie 3.0 and having an m.2 drive.Does anyone know?

It really depends on the game. Most games will be fine. Best way to find out is MSI afterburner. I’m sure there is a graph for pci utilisation.

Which motherboard? From what I can recall, they don't usually steal graphics lanes and since the 7700 XT has the full 16 lanes available, you're operating at the equivalent of 8 lanes @ PCI-E 4.0 which should only be a few % loss.

I love the per game / .exe performance profile in the AMD drivers.

I play around in Unreal Engine, hours and hours of it, i don't want the GPU running at full clocks and full power while doing that, so i can simply select the Unreal Editor .exe in the the performance tuning of the drivers, set the clock / memory low, like 1500/ 2000 and the power limited to -10%.

Now when i open a project the drivers apply those setting just for the Unread Editor, you can even see that little screen blink as its setting the profile automatically when you open the project. Brilliant.... :D

It was a such a pleasant surprise to discover that feature, incredibly useful!

I run a 7800xt from a PCI 3.0 B350 & I doubt very much it makes any great difference, a % or two. My other components are far more likely to be a bottleneck.

Where you would have a big problem would be running out of VRAM over pcie 3. However as you have 12GB you will be grand.
