Just had say having noticed that there has been quite a buzz on this forum for about the past 2 weeks and it has hit feverish since monday. Personally I have to say that this is one of the most exciting times in gaming that I can remember, and putting all format differences aside it is good to see that so many still have a passion for this hobby ( dare I say way of life? ), even like myself having been playing for near on 20 years.

Yeah ms pulled that one of nicely ( any flamers pointing out slow d\l speeds need not apply, foreseen it was ). The E3 has made me very happy to have got onboard 360 wagon, a lot of nice, nice....... let's be honest downright sexy games.

Last years was bigger for me, the big 3 announcing and seeing for the 1st time what we where going to be playing.
This year has been a bit meh for me tbh

Me too, I have not seen anything very new yet, but I suppose the quality of websites etc throughout the year mean that it is harder to keep things secret for the big event.

Tbh i was never a console gamer nor a pc gamer at all, used to have the odd blast on my bro xbox and on my pc but then i got bored of pc gaming...having to keep upgrading my hardware all the time seriously put me off pc gaming.

Then the psp came out...yes its handheld console but still. Got hooked on it when one of my cousins mates showed me one that he had bought in japan. Im still hooked on it and play it quite regularly on my way to work or in bed...still an awful lot of fun.

Then when the 360 came out, i came in here...had a look..asked a few q's..did some research on my own and thought what the hell buy one so i did and since then ive been hooked..even seriously considering buying the nintendo REVOLUTION...i refuse to call it the Wii :p

As for E3??, funnily enough since ive been posting in here...ive never heard of it before tbh...well i had but really didnt know much about it. But having a look at some of the videos...im simply amazed at whats in-store for us console gamers. The nintendo has me literally drooling at the mouth, even though i never bothered to consider them before.

As a PC gamer I never paid attention to E3 as there was little innovation that interested me apart from the odd game here and there.

Since I have a 360, and I already knew about Live being all over the place, I already knew MS would try and steal the show at E3 with their announcements. I was very excited this time round.

I personally am not blown away by what Sony or MS really done, most excitment seems around the Wii.
I mean Sony released there final final console, showing off an uprated DS3, although they Showed MGS4 which is worth E3 itself, luchhhh but not much else there, although i am finally happy i know when its coming out what i will be paying etc. just waiting for launch titles
MS basically done what Sony usually do and get slated for 'bring out the same old sequals to their standard games' touted GoW again, which i want to play, enough hype around it is putting me off. Announced the trusty halo 3 (which wasnt in dev, along with Halo 2 is the last and wont have a cliff hanger), announced another GTA, announced forza 2. i mean this is what sony get slagged for, showing MGS', GT and usually GTA.
I actually cant wait for the stuff from today's show opening, will see what there is in store for the PSP, get a little bit more info on other things. big silent Hill stand has me intrigued, maybe Ageia will have a booth, maybe some good PC games to come will start to filter out.
